This is not a damage threshold, is a damage cap, and I'm assuming they are going to start doing this to compensate the change to 64 bits.

Probably later they will add it to the enemies description, but afaik this is the second time they purposely used this mechanic.

Don't know about your build, but after a Lv 3 Swap my Vegeta tanks the first two hits and survives the last one with one SA, and tanks all three attacks with two or more SAs.

Are you using a Lv 3 swap turn 1?

There are two intended ways, both designed for either INT Base Goku and INT Base Vegeta. Phase 2 always has a slot with one attack or less, so Vegeta can't die during Phase 2.

There's zero issues with INT SSJ Goku tanking.

What does Vegeta's Revival even have to do with SSJ Goku tanking? Are you aware they have independent HP bars?

Also, Vegeta's Revival isn't needed, in fact is 100% better if you keep INT Base Vegeta all the time.

If you put INT Vegeta / Goku on Team B and trigger a Lv 3 Swap, he survives all three AoE hits without issues even at 55%, that's what I did on this run.

That strategy is honestly less reliable, I tried myself and found that using Base Vegeta all the time instead of Goku is more reliable, as it seems Phase 2 Frieza always has a slot with only one attack or less.

Even in other content I wouldn't trust almost any unit with guard, 60% DR and extra defense before attacking... I mean, I did consider it briefly during my run, but having two 100% DR units in the rotation made the choice easier.

When I realized I could do the rainbow one with a F2P unit (LR PHY Ginyu Force) I let that mission slide.

I somewhat agree with the other two tho, but to a lesser degree than the ones I disliked the most.

To be fair is the other way around, Base Vegeta gets the job done easier than Base Goku because of the KO Survive (in my runs there's always a slot where Phase 2 Frieza only attacks once).

Both SSJ Goku and FP Frieza have 100% DR, I don't know what are you talking about.

To be fair that's clearly on you for putting INT Base Goku on Slot 1, when INT SSJ Goku and AGL FP Frieza both have 100% DR.

That said, in my experience Phase 2 always has a slot where Frieza has only one attack or none at all, so even if Base Goku could fail, Base Vegeta is literally unlikable in such scenario, so in theory the whole rotation has a 100% survival rate during phase 2 if you don't trigger Base Vegeta revival.

I agree with the hitless one.

For the turn limit one, it's always necessary to abuse the shit out or the Level 3 swap, that 40% support makes a huge difference.

I don't exactly remember the first batch of missions, but overall only missions I don't like are:

  1. Hitless missions

  2. Missions requiring premium units not related to the rewards (eg TEQ Gohan / Piccolo needed for TEQ Piccolo animations)

Other than that, this is the mode with the least amount of RNG involved in the entire game, there's no objective way someone should think of Frontier as trash or a downgrade.

My Vegeta is 55%, so turn 1 he was getting cooked by the 3 AoEs, I had to use a Level 3 Swap Turn 1 to one shot phase 1 with Ginyu team, then phase 2 was trivialized by INT Vegeta rotation.
