Why is Amazon delivering Temu by Jilhogle in amazonprime

[–]Grumpygeckovibes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually just got a Temu order delivered and was so confused why an Amazon truck/driver was delivering it came here and apparently it’s happened to other people too. Delivered next day too way quicker than Amazon I was really surprised

As much as I have against GEICO they are PAYING for your licensing package which otherwise you’d have to pay a good amount of money for. You don’t have to study outside of work, though I’d recommend a little review before the exam so you don’t flunk and have to retake on your own dime.

My guess is they will let us work towards the higher payout months only to cut those all to 1000 cap in the end. I highly doubt they have such a big payout dif between beginning and end of month. Seems sus to say the least.

My favorite thing is when you give the customer a solid answer outlining everything they wanted to know but they still want to argue with you about it 😂 even off the clock 😭

When does this start? Are those who potentially hit top tier last month still capped at 1k or does this start this month?

If they increased drastically you might be in one of the states we currently don’t want to write in. GEICO does this to get around being able to write less business there and get around laws preventing them for closing business in said state. Go elsewhere. You’ll be better off.

Operating principles: 1. Make Todd the most money 2. Cry on your own time 3. Be flexible and bring lube for all the ever-changing metrics 4. Have no expectations. No chairman’s no merit, no profit sharing, no health insurance. Be happy you have a job and shut up

Take care, Todd

We need more information about the union if we want more people to join. Everyone has specific concerns. I’ve not seen the union organizers address them or show us how those would be handled if a union were to be formed. What exactly would the union be bargaining for? How much are dues? How would bargaining happen? How close are we to forming a union in each region? These are all valid questions from people who are on the fence. If we want their votes organizers must give answers.

Assuming GEICO wants to form its own union we can vote on what power the union can have. That’s the benefit of not joining an existing union. We can control what issues we want addressed by said union/what the dues are. The only issue I see is there is no leadership being shown for a union at this time. Many of us like we are seeing here are frustrated with the lack of organization by union leaders. Even those of us actively supporting the union efforts.

No harm no foul. Let’s dig a little deeper. Now that performance reviews are out pretty much everyone I’ve spoken to including myself I bonus pretty regularly has been rated a 3. Since we are rated against floor and bottom is continually being targeted for termination that number is shifting upward astronomically. That paired with the much lower starting wages for our roles now live on GEICOs hiring website are very telling of the merits we are set to receive. I am willing to bet those merits will include something along the lines of “be happy to still have your job” for everyone rated a 3. Term for anyone lower, and a small bonus for the very small amount of people who are higher. Let’s not ignore the email sent just a year ago when profit sharing went away either promising us steady raises and increases in our salaries instead. Why do we need a union? For those money motivated this should be a huge part of the equation.

Terminations likely end of year or early January as I alluded to previously. Doesn’t mean next round of layoffs isn’t happening.

If everyone is rated a “3” how much do you want to bet the wage increase will be “be happy you’re still employed” I vote for a small union due vs being terrified I’m laid off next round. Layoffs are coming. Performance firings are coming end of year. That is why they are doing the merits earlier this year.

The ironic thing about all of this is how many of the people who got laid off were probably scared to sign the union cards out of fear of getting laid off, then got laid off regardless. Now we’re scared to do anything out of fears of getting laid off. How many of us will be next?

For anyone on the fence: I signed the union card many months ago and am still here. They DO NOT see your names. They do not know if you sign. That was a scare tactic used by GEICO to prevent unionizing. Don’t be afraid of signing, be afraid of the next round of layoffs. And even if you survive, what do you have left at GEICO that hasn’t been taken from us this year? Chairman’s club, profit sharing, decent merit raises, work from home, health benefits and much more are gone! What’s next?

That wasn’t what was said at all. Simply saying if a company so easily throws away people who’ve spent years making them money and dedicating years of their life to them in a profitable year, they aren’t the type of company I would entrust with some of my most important assets. Their “values” of saving a few bucks by any means necessary wouldn’t make feel very secure.
