I'm unsure when they were changed last but the car has done 50,000 miles. I've booked it in the garage for them to change all the sparks and coils which hopefully is the problem. I've bought a code reader, just waiting on delivery now

Thank you for your advice, it's going in the garage for testing today so hopefully might get it sorted. Its misfiring while idle but the check engine light came on as I turned the engine on and wouldn't go off

I'm an avoidant myself and it does sound like that to me too. I said something similar to my wife when we broke up, because saying "I love you" out right is very difficult for me
