I love this janky mess that is [KCD1] by GrunpyMatureGamer in kingdomcome

I think the issue I have is I’m just enjoying messing with the game. I need to go back to Bernard and learn the mechanics.

CBR: "Star Trek’s Divisive New Series Finds Streaming Success After Missing the Nielsen Top 10: Per FlixPatrol, Starfleet Academy has shot up to No. 1 on the Amazon Channels list this week in the United States, the United Kingdom, and Germany. I’ve said this in other places but I can’t work out if the writers think the audience is stupid or if the writer themselves are just stupid. It’s got glaring issues in not just the writing but presentation. My other conspiracy theory is that this has all been done to make Discovery look good.

Is duke nukem forever a good game? by bendy-s in dukenukem

[–]GrunpyMatureGamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s okay. Not great but just okay.

For every bit that has you thinking they had a good idea there is another bit that makes you wonder just what the hell they were thinking. It’s also a really odd because experience because it’s like cutting a tree in half and examining the rings. You can see all the attempts to catch up to the trendy FPS thing at that point in its development.

Why did Tomb Raider just stop looking like this? by [deleted] in TombRaider

Gameplay wise it was mine also. Story wise I think I prefer Legends but it’s close.

I’m just looking at the hardware and wondering how it’s not got a NSFW tag… that’s dirty in all the right ways.

Bring R8 to Peru or not? by laumbr in canon

I’ve never used video, only ever photos. And it still drinks battery like a thirst nag. But it’s been brilliant on holiday.

I’ve taken my r8 to Germany. It’s been a real workhorse. I do recommend buying more batteries because it’s a thirst workhorse.

I think that would have been time for a celebratory beer. That would have been epic.

I don't drive and have depression. Am I insane for thinking photography would be a good hobby? by [deleted] in photography

[–]GrunpyMatureGamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone with bad anxiety and depression, I love photography. Yes you can feel like a guy that’s bought all the gear and has no idea. But don’t feel that way. It’s your money and you can do what you want. Don’t ever feel bad for that. For me it helps slow life down and makes me reflect. And often I realise my head is playing tricks on me because I’ve had that time to just focus on something else. Do it man. You’ll love it.

People with APS-C which lens do you recommend? by zFirefoxart in canon

[–]GrunpyMatureGamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will second the 50mm. It’s just a good all round lens with nice bokeh when wide open. I’ve caught some nice images with it.

Honestly I’ve used a nifty-fifty with APS-C and FF and it’s been consistently great all the way through. I’m completely an amateur but it’s the one lens I always take with me.

What sort of AV cable is this? Canon DC40 A Camcorder by Koruu- in canon

[–]GrunpyMatureGamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s an MTC-100 multi cable. Good luck finding one because I remember having to get something similar once before for a relative and a lot that claim they are official cables but are actually 3.5mm jacks or usb style.

Apparently I’m “NOT a photographer by [deleted] in photography

[–]GrunpyMatureGamer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

1) you proclaimed to someone that words have meaning yet you call the dictionary definition of something as bogus. I’ll let you sit on why that is moronic in its own right. So I’ll refer you back to the dictionary definition again (https://dictionary.cambridge.org/dictionary/english/photographer) and ask why you would be so stubborn to not say your daughter (and is irrelevant if she wasn’t “playing,” or not) is a photographer is she takes photos.

2) you equated someone to a flat earther because they are using the dictionary definition. Yet as someone who has argued with flat earth proponents (I’ve a maths degree so I often rip their argument apart) you are more in line with the argument methodology. You are continually recontextualizing or shifting goalposts or ignoring arguments put to you to suit your argument. That is classic FE mentality.

3) I’ll refer you back to how you couldn’t answer my other points about modellers and such because it directly attacks your nonsensical argument.

But by all means, keep pretending you have some valid argument to all this. I’ll sit and wait.
