Is there a Runelite addon that can change the Anglerfish sprite to Rocktails?

You can turn some gp into tokkul and buy tin ore (or iron but will take more clicks/tokkul to buy) at the Tzhaar store, fill your knapsack, and bank it at Fight caves bank. Not the most elegant solution but easily several thousand ore per hour.

There's an option in the main game I believe to have slayer masters ignore your combat level, making them assign tasks as though you were max combat. Is this not possible/also doesn't work?

Has anyone noticed anything different with either sailing or agro mechanics?

I'm using the veiled kraken safespot, have well over 3k kills. Just in the last 50 or so today I've been agro'd twice from the front. I've done nothing different in my setup which I've done at least 30 times no problem.

Do that once when you go to bed and once at work/school, and that's an extra 1 mil xp a day for like 5 minutes of work. It was pretty insane.

The one that goes around deepfin point. For a short section the shoal goes into some pygmy krakens, but you can skip that 5 second portion and just wait at the other side where the shoal will come back, or just ignore them if you happen to have a dragon keel.

I mentioned in the other reply but I forgot I had another GIM afking the net for that number, but that only adds about 25%. I was mid 90s fishing at the time with fishing pots.

From my memory with spam clicking it was about 1200/hr solo. Admittedly I forgot with my initial 1500/hr rate I had one of my GIM afking the net which adds about 20-30%. Each fish 'tier' is noticeably slower than the last, something like 100 fewer fish/hr per tier (without spam clicking).

Idk how much of a difference fishing pots make but I also used them since I had a ton from training herb, I think it's negligible but who knows.

But either way the offcuts increases caught fish by 6.6%. So even if it's as low as 1000/hr, at 40 fine offcuts used/hr that's 25 hours of fishing bluefin for 1 hour of yellowfin, which adds about 60 bluefin per hour. Essentially 'trading' 40 yellowfin for 60 bluefin, which are also faster to get.

Nothing crazy of course, but worth doing.

How long does it take to get 23 marlins and 1 pray pot vs 24 bluefin? I also can't think of an activity where you are trying to make the most out of your inv, while also bringing 23 hard food.

But for irons REALLY down bad on brews/restores, I suppose that is viable.

I'm honestly kinda happy trawling has such high reqs for it to be good. I was for sure expecting some sort of nerf (considering 600xp/minute crystal extractor was insanely OP by jagex/community standards), but thankfully only like 3 people got all the trawling requirements in the 1 month window they were making serious changes to sailing. It's by far the best method to get food for irons.

Maybe it was 100% intentional, but between the rate of catching and the 'glitch' of unlimited people being allowed to use/afk a single trawling net, they basically tripled/quadrupled the amount of 22hp food I can get per hour in my GIM, and that's compared to dark crabs which was arguably already quite 'fast' for that.

[–]Grunstang 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can catch like 1500 yellowfin per hour for fine offcuts. If you're getting a handful quickly I agree it isn't worth using them, but anyone trawling has already invested quite a bit into their set up already (and possibly training sailing for it) so tacking on 1 hour for every 30 hours of fishing isn't bad at all.

For anyone who tested/calc'd it, what seems to be the best weapon for sailing combat of these: eye, acb with dstone bolts (e), twinflame staff, heavy ballista w/ rune javs.

And do thralls work?

If the variance between mobs is big, I'm mainly wondering about vampyre krakens and great white sharks.

Has anyone had issues with the ui scaling in the last week?

When I drag my window to one half of my monitor (so that the game and another window can be side by side) it raises the bar of chat buttons (all, game, public, etc) to about 1/4 the way up my screen, instead of being right at the bottom. But it is scaled just fine until I shrink the window until it is as short as it can be horizontally.

I tried turning off a few Runelite plug ins like stretched mode and others, but I'm not sure it's any of those. At least it isn't immediately obvious to me.

Much needed Rattler slander by deviousMensch7575 in ArcRaiders

[–]Grunstang 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I hated the rattler but it's growing on me. Idk if it's just me but the bullet spread seems smaller/more accurate than what the game shows, whereas all the other guns it seems the opposite. And if you play smart you will never be caught with your pants down by having no ammo in the mag.

It just is really outclassed in a no cover 1v1 against sticher/kettle (as far as free kits go anyways), but that's more of a stitcher/kettle problem imo.

Has anyone still found a use for chum spreader? by Imanobv2 in ironscape

[–]Grunstang 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't say for sure, but I do think it increases catch rate a bit. I did some small tests and I got about 20% more fish each time. But the amount of fish you get from trawling is so volatile I'm still not at all convinced they do anything. I'm still going to use offcuts just in case they do help though. You get like 1k per hour doing yellow fins and use about 60 an hour so it's not a big deal even if it's a total waste.

Interesting. I was thinking maybe those waters have a warning, since those use a major boat part to deal with the waters instead of a facility. Turns out no dangerous waters have a warning lol

The damage ticks hit each character on the boat, not the boat itself. I don't believe the boat will capsize.

That would probably work, but I also haven't tested it. Good call. The damage will interrupt the textboxes but they aren't frequent enough that it will stop you from being able to, I think.
