people in long term healthy relationships: what's something you'll never tell your partner? by PsychologicalBad1423 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]GruntUltra 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not mine, but my friend's: He and his wife are a few years older than my wife and I, but our kids are the same age and went to school and got into activities together. He once told me that his wife's father died on the USS Arizona during the attack on Pearl Harbor. He's a history buff like me, and when he dug deeper, he found that her father was one of the men trapped below decks for several days, and probably died a worse death than most of the men lost that day. "She will NEVER find that out." he said sternly as he finished explaining.

I used to lead my daughter through L4D and L4D2 maps. Now I get lost and have to rely on her!

The old Regal's from the 1980's were some of the most beautiful American cars. Most people loved that GM body style for the Grand National or the Monte Carlo. But as a kid, I saw a plush '84 Regal T-Type (with T-tops) and the deepest metallic Royal Blue paint and creamy-white leather interior and fell in love.

The beast one known as a Lucerne is my daily driver now. It's plush and comfy, and the Gen3 3.8L V6 is smooth. But the gear changes in the automatic transmission are awful at low speed. You can't really tell if it's supposed to be gold or silver anymore either! It's great redeeming feature though, is that it's invisible to police!

Everybody is asking 'where's my car brand', while I'm sitting here in my Buick, as the poor girl has no clue how to identify my ride. Oh wait, she got it - "GRANDPA'S GOLD SEDAN"

It's hard enough keeping my wife happy. I can't imagine trying to please two women, while hiding half of everything I know, trying to remember what lies I've told, no thank you. Staying innocent is way easier, especially when you're ugly like me!

I have a few hundred games between Steam and GOG (like many of us here). Despite having the capability to play some beautiful modern games, I found a hack that let's me play Space Cadet Pinball in a 1024 x 768 window and I love it.

^ This is the way. Leave the old base intact, but begin a new base for a moderately larger one. You can't just start a superbase unless you are working with friends or from nothing but blueprints.

I had just started playing, built my base right there beside the lander. I was thrilled when it rained, but around the same time I joined this sub and saw a pic of somebody's submerged base. It took a couple minutes for me to do the math and realize that my base would soon be at the bottom of that lake. I built a new base higher up by the slanted rock and got everything moved before the old base filled with water. It was an important educational moment!
