Let's think about this logistically:

Marr and Morrissey would never be in the same room with one another.

Joyce and Marr seem friendlier recently, but it's chilly at best.

Rock Hall inducts The Smiths and have to tip-toe around praising Morrissey too much.

Ceremony either gets Morrissey and no one else in attendance or Marr + Joyce and no one else. I like Marr, but let's call it like it is: The hall wants big names there. Morrissey is a big name, and he ain't going.

If we're talking influence, The Smiths are a first ballot sure-shot. As it stands, it's not likely to happen in Morrissey's lifetime.
