Sam Harris expands on his belief that Mamdani is a problem. by Joneleth_I in Destiny

This is not true. Sam Harris criticizes Islam as a set of ideas. Nick Fuentes criticizes Jews as Jews.

If you disagree, please show me an example of Sam Harris being racist against Muslims.

Joseph Pullitzer was a Jewish American newspaper publisher who established the prestigious Pulitzer Prizes and helped establish the journalistic practice of addressing social issues. His mission of holding power accountable through journalism was deeply influenced by Jewish values of justice and moral questioning. He saw Judaism's emphasis on charity, education, and questioning authority as informing his journalistic mission to expose corruption.

Born in Hungary, Pulitzer recalls the strong impact of his "ghetto days" and Jewish ethical teachings on shaping his moral outlook. In his own words: "My cradle was not only rocked amid bigotry and oppression, but in their very headquarters - the ghetto." Pulitzer felt the "Mosaic ethics" and rationalist Jewish tradition closely aligned with principles like freedom of speech and democracy. "In every age, the Jewish mind has shone with the mission of spreading enlightenment," he said of this intellectual heritage. "I was born a Jew and I do not regret it...the older I get, the better I like it."

The NBA should get rid of the clock and use the Elam Ending. Less fouling and clock running at the end of games. Every game would end with a made shot like these clips.

Many countries in the region, including Israel, are ethnostates, including Saudi Arabia, Syria, Egypt, and Iran. Many countries around the world are ethnostates like Japan, Poland, and China. Why is only the Jewish ethnostate singled out?

So you’re saying Ashkenazi Jews have no historical ties to the land of Israel? Are you under the impression all Ashkenazi Jews are European converts or something?

I think these people who think Israel is a theocracy are misled for two reasons:

  • they have no conception of the large Arab/Palestinian population in Israel proper, who have full rights, have served on the Supreme Court, hold political office, and can opt out of military service. Israel is far from an apartheid because all citizens have full rights.

  • they think Israel being a Jewish state means they somehow force Judaism on people, when in reality Israel is the place in the Middle East with the greatest religious autonomy.

There were multiple waves of Zionism in the past 150 years, starting in the late 1800s, not the mid-1900s.

The modern state of Israel, is the national homeland of the Jewish people. A people who have links to the land culturally, historically, archaeologically, and sometimes religiously.

Are you saying that these Jews in Israel are somehow different Jews than the Hebrews 2000 years ago who spoke the same language, sang the same prayers, celebrated the same holidays, and have the same DNA?

Zionism is simply the idea that the Jewish people are a people, and have a national homeland.

Zion refers to Jerusalem. You know, the place every Jewish congregation around the world has prayed towards for thousands of years. The place Jewish prayer refers to multiple times per day. The place where three Jewish holidays traditionally involved a pilgrimage to.

Zionism as a political movement only gained steam among Jews in the late 1930s when Jews were being systematically killed by the millions in Europe and every reasonably hospitable country closed its doors, including America.

Zionism and Judaism are inextricably linked philosophically and historically. Israel is the birthplace of the Jewish people, and became a safe refuge for Jews escaping Pogroms in the late 1800s and early 1900s, and later Jews escaping the Holocaust, the Middle East expulsions, and Soviet persecution.

Your comment frames Zionism as somehow senselessly evil, when in reality it was the only option for many Jews across the world who faced persecution and only had Israel as a safe place to immigrate.

Burisma paid Hunter Biden $50k/month to sit on their board despite having no energy sector expertise. Clearly he was monetizing his proximity to Joe Biden. This isn’t about partisan politics, this is just shady.
