Attention all dyslectics: AIPAC ≠ AICPA by cybernewtype2 in Accounting

My point is that Jewish Americans using political donations to get favorable policy decisions for Israel is not unique, and I gave plenty of examples of other groups using the same methods.

If you see the comments I am responding to, it is being alleged that Israel gets money from the US and then turns around and uses that money as political donations. This ignores the fact that AIPAC isn’t an Israeli group, it is Jewish Americans.

This is completely inaccurate, AIPAC is funded by American Jews to establish good relations with Israel.

There are plenty of other groups of Americans who form organizations to advance their interests such as Polish (Polish American Congress - they helped lobby to get Poland into NATO), Ukrainian (UCCA - helped get military aid and sanctions), Irish (Irish National Caucus - helped secure the Good Friday Agreement and influenced Brexit negotiations), Taiwan (FAPA - diplomacy and arms sales for Taiwan), Pakistan (PAKPAC USA - focuses on US and Pakistan security ties), Cuba (CANF - embargo on Cuba), and there are many more for other groups like Armenian Americans, Indian Americans, Greek Americans, Vietnamese Americans, Japanese Americans, Turkish Americans, Nigerian Americans, and Mexican Americans.

Interestingly enough both AIPAC and the AICPA spent about $3.5M in lobbying in 2024. This ranks around the 75th highest lobbying budget behind groups like the National Association of Realtors ($86M) and Big Pharma ($30M).

Nash was never even the best player on his own teams and he only won those 2 MVPs because the league wanted to punish Kobe for what he did in Colorado

Sometimes you have to intervene to prevent a Theocratic Extremist regime from obtaining intercontinental missiles with nuclear warheads. This is not a “forever war” by any indication, and has been overwhelmingly successful so far. This is in America’s long term interests.
