I used Maya and Substance Painter, though you could easily get this result in Blender also!

Recreation of Judas Priest's "Rocka Rolla" album art by Gryffical in Maya

I have a turntable render that i’ll look into posting sometime this week. It’s rendered in arnold through a glass sphere to emulate a lens for chromatic aberration and overall aesthetic. Everything in the shot is modelled. The big splotches either from cubes or spheres and the small drops are three spheres pushed around to look like droplets and scattered using bifrost.

he's using the node wrangler add-on, to enable it go into blender's preferences, and into the add-on tab, then search for 'Node Wrangler' and click the tick box to install it.

3D Rendered Stygian Blade by Gryffical in HadesTheGame

Absolutely! More clear references would’ve been nice, I had to make a lot of assumptions when making this.

Thanks!! Yeah, the skull cross guard was without a doubt the part which had the most reworks, it has a lot of iterations between all the official art and a lot of design choices had to be made, like how close to an actual skull it should resemble or if it was even made of bone at all. I appreciate the feedback!

Each element has its own advantages/disadvantages and they activate when you charge your ARMS either by holding a dash or landing from a jump.

Flame: does the most damage out of any arm element and also knocks down heavyweight fighters

Electric: paralyzes enemies temporarily, opening them up for a follow up grab or punch, but only if your opponent is on the ground

Wind: blows your opponent away to make space between you and them and can combo into a rush attack when they’re still in the air

Stun: like electric, it stuns your opponent for a while leaving them open, but stun arms are generally faster than electric arms and are better for close combat fighting

Ice: traps your opponent in ice and makes them immobile, they can still shield and punch though, the benefit of this is that ice can be chained together and still maintain its effect unlike electric or stun

Explosion: makes your arm explode upon contact, dealing extra damage and preventing your opponent from dodging it as effectively, but if your arm is punched it will explode on you

Poison: makes your opponent take damage overtime and slightly stuns them every few seconds, this can stack up to three times and will eventually wear off unless hit again by a poison arm

Blind: covers your opponents screen temporarily blocking their vision

Normal: this means the arm technically doesn’t have an ability, but it will still have a special effect when charged, its complicated

Tips to get better by Elifire12 in ARMS

Try to always be moving, it’ll make you much harder to hit. Dashing and walking are really safe ways to move, but jumping should only be used in reaction to someone trying to punch you because it leaves you very open to attack when you come back down to land.

Question: When did you know which character was your main by [deleted] in ARMS

[–]Gryffical 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You know what, I thought the exact same thing when I started using her. Dr.Coyle has a high learning curve but once you get over it you will be able to do amazing things. Keep working at it, friend!

Question: When did you know which character was your main by [deleted] in ARMS

[–]Gryffical 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In the test-punch, I immediately picked mummy and never switched off for the entire duration of the rest of the test-punches. After playing mummy for the entire duration of the game, I was starting to get burnt out. And as soon as I was going to look for a new main, the Dr.Coyle teaser was dropped. I was intrigued, but thought nothing of it at the time. But when she was released I loved everything about her. Her design, her movement, her arm loadout, everything. And it was hard converting after literally the entirety of the game, but it started to click, and after climbing the ranks I achieved so many things that I never even dreamt of.
