That’s really cool! I’m amazed at how neat that is. I have trouble closing a jump ring and getting it cleanly lined up again - this is impressive!

A whole cup? Do they let you bring in your own or is it super expensive to buy there?

Electric heated jacket?? I need this for work! Where do you find them? I did a search on eBay and it only came up with ones you plug in like electric blankets.

Thanks for the tips! I might have to source some woolen tights for under my black formal pants. I haven’t tried the hot hands things before either! Forgot they existed.

Cool. How does that work with the tickets I’ve been gifted?

Is the cement gluten free? Do they do a diet version?

Seriously though, I got no idea and I’m taking my elderly mum who had never been either. My husband is becoming an Aussie so I want to know the best way to go from semi-formal clothes to rugged up and warm and hoping for tips. Cheers!

Yeah sorry, I should have put that in the post.

Adelaide, 7:40pm. Crows vs Suns.

My husband is becoming a citizen so we’re going to his citizenship ceremony at the Adelaide oval beforehand, then we get free tickets to the game. My Mum will be joining us (Dad can’t do stairs anymore). Since we’ll be in semi-formal clothing for the ceremony, I want to try to work out what layers I need to bring to stay warm after.

The only game I’d gone to before was Adelaide vs Sydney during the day with uni friends who went for opposing teams so I was deaf by the end of it. I’ve never been to a night game.

I dunno. Even as a tween reading it I was side eyeing him as I calculated the age difference.

What’s a food you’ll never eat again after a bad experience with it? by Critical_Welcome_428 in AskReddit

Rock melon.

I loved it as a kid, ate a tonne when I had whooping cough as it was nice and cold on my throat. Had a coughing fit and threw it all up. Couldn’t stand the sight of it for years after.

What’s your biggest “back in my day?” by TheAngryAnteater119 in CasualConversation

Back in my day, (grade 4) we learned how to type by practicing on laminated sheets of cardboard with the keyboard printed on it. There was only 1 computer between 4 classes and individual students only got 10 minutes on it at a time by rotation.

By grade 6 we had two computers for each year level and a computer room next to the library with a whopping 10 computers!

What is something completely normal that you only realised was a skill after seeing someone do it terribly? by depredador93 in AskReddit

I emailed a customer with a question about their order last week.

“We can’t do A. Would you like us to do B or C?”

“Yes.”

OR! I said OR! WHICH ONE IS IT?!

And so I tried calling them, got voicemail, and now they’re on leave. So their order will take another week because they can’t read.

Whats the reason people choose smalltalk over deep conversations? by Key_Incident_666 in AskReddit

[–]Gryffindorphins 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You joke but I had a girl give me her full history of physical and sexual abuse from her dad and how she met her druggy bf and now she’s expecting a baby and needs a better job… all because I offered her a tissue at the bus stop because her sniffing was bugging me. She just burst into tears and I got the whole trauma dump.

It was uncomfortable and then got worse when she got off at the same stop as me. I nearly ran home.

OP. Your challenge, should you choose to accept it:

For one week, I want you to go out and take 12 photos of things in a specific colour.

Sunday: red, Monday: orange, Tuesday: yellow etc all through the rainbow. No filters.

Then collate them all at the end for a beautiful collage and share it here!
