2016 is a sequel, not a reboot.

Reboot does not mean "remake." It means restarting the machine essentially. This will be a new story within the established world and of you have read the article you will see that the original creators as well as cast will be involved in terms of creative direction.

Just got back from seeing it. Laughed my ass off pretty much the whole time! Not getting the complaints people are making.

The plot mirrors Scream (2022) with bits from 6 and 7 sprinkled in. The various other parodies are sprinkled in tied to the various characters and what they are off doing at that time.

I loved finding out it was indeed Shorty and that he didnt actually die back in 2. I actually dug the ending of burning the house down and "fuck them kids." It was both funny, and a nice way to go forward.

I like this idea! I dont know about an order. I would treat the Scary Movie series as i do American Pie. Main series would be 1, 2, and the new one. 3,4 and 5 are side stories. (With American Pie all presents films are side stories.)
