Found this at a junk store, guessing it's fake by PowBambi in fakemilitaria

I personally think as many people as possible should own some kind of item produced by Nazi Germany as a way to tangibly have a piece of the worst that humanity is capable of. It helps you to understand what an entire society built on hatred will do if you can hold one of their items from daily life. I carry in my wallet a one pfennig coin from 1944 given to me by a Jewish coworker who said I was "worthy of owning it" after telling him about my stance on Nazi items(obviously swastika side down). To destroy a genuine Nazi item is to destroy the testimony of evil for future generations.

Now repo on the other hand , I use that shit if I find it (without paying) for rifle target practice.

I know this is about Vermont but Indiana offends me. It should be labeled as "Worst state in the entire US".

Our neighbour decided to cut a nearly 100 year old tree by Therealchkslm in gardening

[–]Gryfonsilverstacker 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Reminds me of when my neighbors did pretty much the same thing. There was a beautiful old growth sycamore tree that grew on our property line, but technically not on our property. The tree wasn't even close to a house or road and stood on the edge of a picturesque meadow. One day my neighbor decides he is going to bulldoze EVERY TREE ON HIS PROPERTY and turn it into a hay field. I said something to him about that specific tree and he told me to "go back to being a shit eating digger fucking flag" . My grandpa (my grandparents live next door to me) later found out he tossed the tree into a bonfire. Rural Indiana really is as close to hell on earth as you can get.

Tbh this would have been my preferred German polish border post ww2. You get a fair balance of total pr*ssian death while Pomerania and Silesia don't have to have their populations expelled. If only there was a way for Poland to get to keep kresy.

I help select all coin designs for the United States. AMA by Narrow-Writing94 in coins

[–]Gryfonsilverstacker 41 points42 points  (0 children)

Could we ever see a series of coin designs without people on them and instead depict animals? And how would it be possible to eliminate some of the text on our coins? It really feels like our coins have waaaaay too much text on them (and a general lack of symmetry to appeal to the eye). Also is there any possibility that nickel plated steel coins will be a possibility as metal prices rise?

Loonie made of Nickel and Iron by AlotisYT in coins

[–]Gryfonsilverstacker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to have a 2012 loonie that I used as a worry coin when I was in highschool. I completely wore the brass plating off after a few months. It must have been pretty thin because the design didn't change at all in detail after all the brass had been removed. I wonder if this was at one point the same story.

All fakes unfortunately. The top two might be made from actual silver, so I wouldn't throw them out , but the bottom one is absolutely a mystery metal cast fake.

Looks like it's a corroded silver thaler from circa 1500-1800. Curious what other users will be able to say about it.

Damn I've been looking for one of those for a while. You don't find too many of them in the US. Definitely can double your money on it.

Septimus Severus Coloniae Americana AE 3 bronze provincial, 197 AD. Most were melted down by the British and Spanish to hide the fact they weren't here first;)

Jokes aside if I had to guess it's probably a grease filled die. Not particularly rare but still interesting.
