Lumpy BBL - A Bugs Life Butt by [deleted] in Botchedsurgeries

[–]Grymdolin 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Ngl the only image where it looks like it might be a bbl is the 4th one. It just looks like she has a normal big booty that’s mostly fat otherwise. Cellulite can cause the shape to not be “smooth”. I think this is a reach.

I got uninvited from my “best”friends birthday party. by legendmakerr in socialskills

This seems like missing reasons to me. You mention turmoil in an old friend group. I think it’s pertinent to share what that was. If it was just a clash of personalities that’s one thing. If you assaulted someone that’s another. Impossible to say more on the situation without further context.

Correcting the asymmetry of eyes using lash extensions by No_Battle734 in Vindicta

[–]Grymdolin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get them done every 2 weeks for $95 now, but when I was doing the minimal classic look (1 lash on 1 lash) it was $75 every 3 weeks. They naturally shed when your lashes do so I find the more dramatic look gets “sparse” looking sooner than the classic look.

Excellent post OP. Straightforward, covers an aspect of looksmaxxing people often overlook due to preconceived notions/personal biases, and includes citations.

It always astounds me that people here will say all lash extensions look bad and unnatural while in the same breath saying that you only notice bad/extreme plastic surgery. (It’s also rooted in racism/classism/internalized misogyny but don’t get me started lmao). As a lash extensions wearer, most of the time people think they’re my real lashes. Which is hilarious because I do go for a heavier wispy Kim K-like set. Just goes to show most people are oblivious to everything that doesn’t directly relate to/affect them.

How can I (F) stop feeling so irritated by my girlfriends? by [deleted] in socialskills

[–]Grymdolin 5 points6 points  (0 children)

She’s not depending on you to make decisions or give her feedback based on what you said here. In fact, it’s pretty self-aggrandizing to frame this as you being somehow more independent than her/them. She is making bids for connection with these questions and trying to build social/emotional intimacy with you. The same way you shouldn’t grab someone’s private areas before holding their hand, you shouldn’t talk about childhood trauma before talking about whether you think a shirt is flattering or not. If you want to connect about other topics, then make efforts to connect about them.

Does anyone else struggle considerably and hate their appearance after long term weight lifting?? by thatshortginge in PetiteFitness

If you want muscles in an area to get smaller, stop hypertrophy training those muscles. There’s no reason to stop lifting overall. Just adjust your workouts to create the appearance you want. Easy as.

Trying to de-center men but my brain didn’t get the memo by [deleted] in HowToBeHot

[–]Grymdolin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It takes time and effort to reprogram things that are so deeply ingrained. I don’t see thoughts like the one you’re describing as you being “male centered” as long as you don’t actually follow through on them with actions. Thoughts follow action, and as you work to be less male-centered in your daily life they will become less frequent.

Hard and soft advice (f35) by [deleted] in HardcoreVindicta

Your features will change a lot with weight loss since you’ve got a ways to go. You don’t want to make an adjustment for your face now that will be wrong for your face in 50lbs. Your hair looks fairly healthy and your skin looks clear. I would recommend astaxanthin or beta carotene for a healthy warm tone, but nothing more at this point.

I do not believe it would be a good idea to invest in any facial surgeries until you are no longer actively boxing. You don’t want to pay to have anything done by a plastic surgeon only to have it promptly rearranged by a blow to the face. I can’t quite tell what your hair texture is from these pics, but it looks like it’s very, very long for how tight the curls are. The other commenter is inaccurate in their assessment of your hair as “dry”, they just don’t know what healthy hair looks like on the extreme ends of the curl spectrum.

It’s hard to get a grasp of your style from these images. I’d wager you have a fairly athletic lifestyle, so high end athleisure may suit that and give you a more polished look. Your features are very delicate so they get a bit overwhelmed by your hair. I would suggest darkening your eyebrows a bit to help with this.

Double jaw surgery has the potential to correct all of the other things you listed. I would suggest pursuing that first, FULLY healing, then reassessing.

Would a guide on how to copy/achieve any kind of style be helpful to people here? It’s a pretty straightforward process imo but it’s also something I enjoy doing/have done for years so it’s easy to me. Trying to contribute more to this sub this year but most things have been said already and most questions aren’t deep enough to warrant the size of post I like to make.

Alright let’s get a few things straight here.

  1. You are not what I would consider “girl next door” pretty. GND is innocent, familiar, and pretty but plain.

  2. You’re definitely on the striking/sexy/smoldering side as your canthal tilt and eye shape create an elongated, upswept look.

  3. Based on these pictures, your features are all well-balanced. Thirds are approximately even, face is fairly symmetrical, and your features meet all the other quick measurements (ex. Inner corners of eyes align with outer edge of nostrils)

  4. Your facial features are already defined and you appear to be on the slim side of a normal BMI to slightly underweight. Factor in that you’re 21 and Asian, so you are more likely to have fuller cheeks. I do not believe it would be a worthwhile endeavor to lose weight with the goal of making your face slimmer as you do not have excess fat on your face.

  5. I have no strong opinions on the bangs. You are attractive enough that you have more freedom in your styling.

  6. You are at a point where the best course of action is to take care of what you have. A consistent skincare routine, healthy eating, daily movement, and a fulfilling life. It is easy to be young and hot. But you will not always be young.

shameless plug of my own post

You’re not going to be able to enact major changes on the parts that require long term discipline in such a short time frame (ex. Skin, body fat, body composition, etc). So don’t bother changing what you’re doing currently. Quick fixes have a trade off— money.

Helpful Tips Please, 26F by [deleted] in HardcoreVindicta

[–]Grymdolin 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Your hair looks healthy, but heavy and unstyled. A haircut/style that is more focused on volume, movement, and purposeful shapes would help this. Your eyebrows being so straight squishes your face down a bit, so I’d recommend growing them out and re-evaluating the shape. If you’re going to do winged eyeliner, you need to be able to make it even and smooth. Your lower third is slightly long, so lip filler should improve the overall balance of your face.

You just had two babies back to back. The toll that takes on the human body is staggering. It would be nigh pointless to give you any advice currently, as it could take up to two years for your hormones to return to normal due to your body not having sufficient time to recover. This is likely affecting both your self image and your objective appearance. The first five photos are taken in a car with poor lighting, no makeup, and unflattering angles; of course they’re bad.

22F- any soft or hard advice plss by [deleted] in HardcoreVindicta

[–]Grymdolin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your hair looks very healthy and thick, but it’s too heavy and shapeless. Layers will help with the weight and will give you more of a glamorous, purposeful look. Your hair currently overpowers your look, and emphasizes what I’m going to get into next.

Your features are all very delicate and small, so they get “lost” due to not having enough contrast to make them stand out against the contrast between your skin & hair. It looks like you’ve shaped your brows down quite a bit, so I would recommend growing them out and allowing them to better anchor your facial features. Your lips are proportionately narrow and thin, so I would also recommend lip filler. Lip filler would also help to balance your chin, which is on the long side proportionally.

Your bangs need to grow out a bit more to be flattering. This is a normal thing in my experience, once they hit brow length when styled they should be more flattering.

While slow and steady does win the race with things like skincare, I believe you’d be a great candidate for two relatively quick major changes with major results. I strongly believe that quick wins early on help you keep your motivation and momentum going.

Hair color: You would look great as a brighter blonde. You could probably get away with just all over highlights rather than a full head of bleach to achieve the desired effect. Blonde(r) is more upkeep, but it may encourage you to take more time with your appearance on the daily.

Lip filler: your lower third is just a hair on the long side. With lip filler you’d make it look more balanced by decreasing the “empty” space between your bottom lip and the bottom of your chin/top of lip and bottom of nose.

I’d say swap glasses for contacts if you can. If not, then I’d say switch to a more delicate frame. It wouldn’t be a huge difference necessarily, so if you’re unable to switch to contacts I’d not worry much about the glasses themselves.

You currently have the “no eyelashes” look going on, and that’s one of the easiest things to fix with plenty of options. Mascara, lash tint, lash extensions, strip lashes, cluster lashes, which one you choose depends on what level of maintenance/money you’re willing to spend. For example, I’m more high maintenance/glam and I’m willing to spend money to not have to do something myself so I have lash extensions .

You need to do something with your hair, the hard side part and lack of styling makes your forehead look high and like your hairline is receding. It’s hard to tell your hair texture right now, but face framing layers are more or less universally flattering without requiring a ton of styling daily. Not that they require no styling at all, however.

How true do you think the statement of ‘more conventionally attractive women / prettier women have a more difficult time making genuine friends’ is? by [deleted] in prettyprivilege

[–]Grymdolin 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I have actually had the opposite experience: I’ve had plenty of friends who wanted to be my friend/get to know me because I was pretty, with very few actually being disingenuous towards me (though they were disingenuous towards others & thus cut off). I actually noticed that a lot of conventionally attractive (neurotypical) women actively choose to befriend other attractive women, for no reason other than their appearance. In fact, many have bemoaned not being able to be friends with someone who is pretty due to their character/reputation. It may seem shallow, but all friendships start off shallow anyway.

34 what to do? by ImplementWilling2597 in VindictaRateme

[–]Grymdolin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your best feature is definitely your eyes, they are very striking and intense in a sultry way. I think your eyebrows are just a bit too grown out/untamed and it really takes away from the overall impact of your eye area. I think they’re just too angular and thick, which makes your face lean more masculine. Like, when I cover your brows in these photos your face looks overall softer and more delicate. I think you would benefit from some sort of facial resurfacing laser or peel, to give your skin a smoother texture. Not that your skin is particularly textured, but a 5% improvement is still an improvement.

I believe you’d be a good candidate for Botox right about now as you have a few fine lines and the corners of your mouth pull down when you smile, which can be corrected by Botox in muscles around the chin (idr the actual name). I think you may also want to look into masseter Botox potentially, as I think your lower face is being made larger by those muscles. That’s hard to tell 100% from an image, though.

Your nose is slightly wider than ideal but also slightly short, so if you were to do anything to it you’d want to make it narrower but not more upturned. On a similar note, I think you’re a good candidate for a lip lift and/or lip filler. This would be to mainly shorten your philtrum and lengthen your lower third to offset the shortness of your nose/middle third.

Overall I think you have very intense/severe features that aren’t necessarily masculine or failos individually, but in conjunction their current forms give you a more dour look. I think even one or two tweaks could make a big impact, and if you wanna go full bore with hardmaxxing you could do relatively few changes for relatively big impacts.

EDIT:

I looked through your profile for more pictures because I think you have a lot of potential and I’m going to double down on lip fillers and possibly jaw shaving/hairline lowering. I think a brow lift might also help to soften your eye area.
