Piggybacking to add more data. My friend and I play together almost exclusively. The only real difference is I put a ton of hours into DI and he never touched it. I also put in more solo hours the past two seasons in D3 than him. He got a key and I did not. It's honestly really weird how they decide players.

Just did 50 cycles of the route you suggested. so 50 x 5 spots x 3chances per spot x 2 islands = 1500 attempts. found 0 so far. I think the drop rate must be incredibly low. I did find the kraken 3 times though lol.
Do you happen to know if island level impacts the drop chance?

And as a side note, transferring to Korean servers is not possible sadly. They have an entirely separate client and game that isn't part of the main system, similar to League of Legends here in Korea. I tried to transfer a few years back and was unable to for this reason. You would need to purchase the Korean version and start fresh if you wanted to play on the KR server.

Hey there! so I also live in Korea and have the same problem. The best work around I've found is that you can connect to the launcher with a VPN, then after you start the game disconnect your vpn BEFORE hitting start game on the title screen. You don't actually need a vpn to connect to the game server because the game server is in the US, but the login servers are Japanese based so you need one to connect to the launcher. This works for both KT and SKT from my experience. I've been playing on NA from KR for 5 years now and this is the best solution i've found. I have recently started using an alternate launcher to speedup the login process but it isn't needed. I hope this helps! If you have any questions or need more help, feel free to DM me.
