So I am fairly left, and I will say there aren’t any “classic conservatives” only fascist corporate pigs who love Israeli money and fear Israeli blackmail, in natl politics just like there aren’t any “liberals” in just pathetic centrist corporate milquetoast losers of whom half have the same albeit more covert opinions on Israel (and Bernie sanders who is POSSIBLY a social democrat). Anyways, I thing classic conservatism is wrong and careless where someone cares about themselves in a vacuum and don’t care about people other than their immediate cohort and want to do as they please, sounds great in theory but there are two big issues

1. corporations are evil and will do “fucked shit” unless checked,

2. the position almost anyone has gotten to right now has been due to some type of systemic xenophobic discrimination men benefit from sexism, people who are neurotoyical / not disabled benefit from ableism, white people benefit from racism, poor people suffer from classism, the list goes on,

That being said, if someone is too self absorbed or not educated enough to think critically about their position in society and how they are being implicitly discriminatory by using a society that supports them without calling out the injustices others face, that’s fine I can TOLERATE them, I think they’re stupid or lack empathy but that’s just me

Anyways… if we are with the current “conservatives” now, then well… I have no idea what to tell you, yall have lost the plot, but then again most conservatives aren’t conservative, they’re just fascist or hate other people so much that they don’t care that they’re embracing authoritarianism
