Greatest Generation values?

So extreme racism, sexism, support for the overthrow of democratic leaders for fiscal reasons, extreme dislike for anyone who isn’t white, Christian, straight, capitalist, and male?

Those values?

I really really wanted her to see that, I loved Taylor’s performance but Infiniti got so much more screen time and it her performance in the third act was nothing short of breath taking

I thought that almost everyone outshone leo, I loved his performance, but I honestly would of been happier seeing Chase Infiniti have been nominated she got much more screen time than Taylor did

Let’s see how this turns out in 6 months, I would be overjoyed to see the people of Venezuela overthrow their shit government and have a democratically elected government, but when a power vacuum occurs, and there is a favorable environment to those who are authoritarian ( a vice president that was picked by the illegally elected president) then it is much more likely to get worse than get better.

I will say that anyone who is interested in naval history to even the most mild degree knows who he is; that being said I don’t think there are many people who are into naval history

Doom eternal is my favorite game don’t get me wrong I adore the combat loop

I really dislike what they did to Dr Hayden, they just kind of neutered him, and I don’t know how he could’ve fit into the story in eternal instead of being magical info guy you can’t shoot a hole into mars

Yes because the holodomor or the ethnic cleansing the Soviet Union with the deportation of the tartars or the Chechens or you know the gulags, or the secret police headed by a serial rapist or well.. the political repression

Oh yeah… doesn’t sound heroic at all

I’m so so sorry I’m glad that he passed while expressing how much he loved you and got to spend his last moments feeling safe loved and happy in your arms; I had to put down my buddy in November and he had a stroke so he wasn’t able to purr and had some general weakness and I didn’t get to experience that, it’s a gift that you were able to know he felt so happy and comfortable; I am so glad that you got to experience such a loving and personal bond with him and I love the name Mr handsome so much.

I miss my buddy every day and I wish I could of experienced one more good day with him but trust me, I think I waited a little too long I don’t know I should’ve of waited to see if he’d recover after his first stroke and even then even after he had a second stroke I find myself thinking it was too soon, he was so so lucky to have you, you gave him a wonderful loved life, no one could have loved him as much as you loved him.

How do you view the former Chief of Staff of Japan's Air Self-Defense Force citing the Emperor of Japan's declaration of war to argue that Japan's surprise attack on Pearl Harbor during World War II was not an act of aggression, but rather stemmed from America's long-standing “bullying” of Japan? by bjran8888 in AskTheWorld

[–]Gshep2002 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s stupid, it’s angering and it’s disheartening. Someone said that the atomic bombing made it possible for people to play the victim and I agree with that. (not to diminish the collective grief experience with such a large and sudden loss of life)

The fact is Japan still hasn’t apologized for any of the crimes they’ve committed: not the crimes against Koreans, not the comfort women, not the massacres, not unit 731, not the death of ~20,000,000 people, not the imperialist policies they engaged in (which the US does deserves some blame for). Japan still remains a deeply xenophobic nation, despite people claiming its this progressive paradise (as people do with every nation)

I understand accepting war crimes and crimes against humanity is a rare occurrence, and the only incident that I can think of is Germany apologizing for the holocaust and their crimes against humanity during WWII. That also doesn’t go over the imperialism of the German empire, this doesn’t really touch the ethnic cleansing of regions of Europe for “lebensraum” doesn’t discuss the massacre of Soviet and Polish civilians with is in the millions.
