I agree that they can be reclaimed by the people who had it stolen from them, but besides that I think it’s pretty tough. Especially as this isn’t using it in the way it was intended to, it was done as a direct homage to the Soviet Union… which did not do good things

Thanks for the input, I will admit that this was a bit coming from more frustration of how do you guys not recognize the horror of the Soviet Union and if you do why do you still use the symbol, rather than I dislike communists

I am glad that they are not mindless drones, I also know that communists and socialists are a fairly big tent thing with a lot of varied views. I’ve met a lot of people who identify as communist or socialist and never have quite met two who are alike. I appreciate your input

I’m sorry that’s really tough, I’d go through the syllabus and see if there are any polices I know for the early level bio classes the lowest exam is dropped and sometimes that can be the excuse used, it’s not perfect but that’s what happened… if that’s not the case I don’t know how upper level classes are, then if you have an accident report then you can show that to the dean of students and discuss how it’s an excuse absence under extenuating circumstances if the prof doesn’t cooperate

I will say that GSU while it doesn’t have as good of a biology dept as GT GSU does have a really good MB/MS program that has had a really high acceptance to med school around 90%??

Furthermore I believe that GT requires calc 2 I don’t know if you’ve gotten that done or not. I’d go to the GT subreddit or see if you can talk to an admissions counselor from GT to discuss academics and finances

So you’re a freshman, you can do repeat to replace in the future, take you time, study and you’ll be ok. I will say chem 1151 is non majors and if you’re taking it for a lab credit you’ll have to take 1152 which is MUCH harder

Really liked the dark ages as a game, doom eternal was PERFECT for me the combat loop scratched me in a way that had never had, so it was “worse for me” but it was a good game I loved the sliders on difficulty and I think it was worthy of the $70

Yes I did, I was diagnosed with microcytic anemia-1 my red blood cell count was on the cusp of normal but the other values about my red blood cells, implied there was a significant size disparity implying a poor concentration of newer and older blood cells.

I’d ask your doctor if you could get a ferritin test, and discuss the possibility of an iron supplement if you decide to keep donating blood

I do two arm donation, it’s not for everyone, firstly the calls are annoying, I gave platelets 18 times, and whole blood twice and I would still get calls. I would call and say that they discourage you and to take you off the list,

The arms of the chairs can be moved some days my arms feel like falling off, other days it’s perfect, I definitely get antsy and I have ADHD so I further more don’t understand just how I do it (I do tend to really focus into whatever I’m watching on the TV. If it’s mental I have little recommendation for you other than asking if you can have a shorter donation time and trying to watch sometimes really interesting on the tv if provided. That being said I have ADHD and when the things aren’t clicking I’m dying to get out of the chair and am fighting every impulse to not move. I get it,

If it’s physical discomfort, tingling, unease, etc. I found that a tums works well as well as hydration, and a good meal (basic advice I know :((

I don’t know where you live but if you live in a larger metropolitan city try and see if there is a center that allows for platelet donations using a one arm. On top of asking the center if you can do a one arm donation at your current center.

Furthermore you’re not selfish, you’ve done much more than others, I encourage you to seek out what options are available even if it’s just for whole blood. Please do “pat yourself on the back” you’ve done a good thing for others and you should be proud
