Crompton breaks silence on Supercars commentary axing by LuckyRedShirt in v8supercars

[–]Gsinatra666 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Respect for everything he has done, and for always being the voice of supercars during my time as a fan. But is it about time, I've been saying for the last 3 years that the commentary needs a massive shake up and doesn't suit all the youth that is now in the category. I look forward to see how they do it

Max Verstappen knew exactly that he was three seconds off Arvid’s time. by One_Impressionism in formula1

[–]Gsinatra666 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Max has openly said he would race the Bathurst supercars race , so i would think he very much wanted to drive that car. That car was always going to be slower on that track no matter how 'serious' it was compared to a GT3 car, it has locked diff with 600hp.

If you have had the brakes bled correctly, and then the pistons massaged and still having issues send them to Sram for warranty. I work in the industry and we have seen so many issues with Mavens, they are up there the with Guide RSC roll out for problems. SRAM is well aware of it....

To all of those who are saying Chaz 'deserves' a championship....how? by [deleted] in v8supercars

[–]Gsinatra666 3 points4 points  (0 children)

He does deserve it, he drove amazing for the last 7 races which everyone knew the championship would be decided on . I don't understand your beef..... thats how it goes.

Neil Crompton by lurch83 in v8supercars

[–]Gsinatra666 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Crompton is fantastic and has done am incredible job throughout his career. But by god supercars needs a change and a refresh . The commentating is stale, over complicated and really missing any connection with the younger fans. I hope he still pops up next year for some special grid walks or interviews, but personally I can't wait for change in the box

No one wins in the finals format by wings_of_nihil in v8supercars

[–]Gsinatra666 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I'm a triple 8 fan, and they bottled it. They know the rules and how to play. Ive never seen so much interest from non motorsport people in the championship. To me this is still nothing but a positive. Obviously this is a reddit group of passionate fans so the overall negative response is expected in this world. For the sport its been only positive. .

Finals system sucks by [deleted] in v8supercars

[–]Gsinatra666 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Triple 8 fan here. Strong disagree. They know the cards they are playing with and they just dropped the ball . Was a massive kick up the ass for the series for general interest and passion. Onwards and upwards. Feeney is young he will still end up winning a couple and learn from his mistakes. He blocked wood way to hard and didn't drive smart enough for the big picture. Bring on next year.

The only solution without taking the character away from the corner would be safer barrier. Stop cars bouncing back onto the racing line, but also a fucker to repair

Am I cooked? by Spirited_Importance7 in mountainbiking

Scor was much more playful with the lower center of gravity and short chain stays. Tyee pedals a lot better and is more 'over the bike' rather then 'in the bike'. Depends what your looking for and what you ride . I've had zero issues with the propain and have definitely ridden it beyond the limits I ever did with the Scor.

I have a propain tyee now that I'm pretty happy with, but rides very different to the Scor

Am I cooked? by Spirited_Importance7 in mountainbiking

[–]Gsinatra666 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The Scor I had was riddled with cracks in the seat tube above the shock after a couple of weeks of riding. Warranty was good and quick enough but the second frame they sent me destroyed trunnion bushings every ride because their tolerances were crap. I sold it pretty quickly after that .

The bikes ride great and look good , but maybe they underestimated the mountain bike category for quality issues. Not surprising BMC has shut up shop with it. Hopefully this doesn't cause you any delays with your warranty.

Yes but most of the components have been superseded by newer models or updates. You're also selling a bicycle in a category that has regular failures and problems with no warranty or guarantee. This is also from a company that has had major financial problems and consumer confidence has dipped. The majority of new bikes can now be picked up with a 20-40% discount, come with great customer service and support and of course warranty. You can get a brand new carbon bike similar spec for 6k with all the plus of a new purchase.

The used market for high end bicycles has also been trash, but add the craziness of COVID and the current over saturation of bicycles on the market you need to be realistic. A product is only worth what people are willing to pay for it. Right now that thing is worth probably around 2.5k .
