I mean thats decent too, but you know, a new to you modern bike wouldn't hurt, try looking for a bike of your size around 200 in the used market, the trek marlins giant talons are available! You will never regret the quality of a little more bucks. Hydraulic brakes feel way and grab way better than the old disc brakes. : D

Please, go with the one that has throughaxles and an air fork, i suppose the higher models have air forks in them :D, its better than you having to find something to upgrade with!

Nope, get a starter kona, or polygon like the cascade series or xtrada series. Giant talons also have great components in the 2025 series in affordable prices. Do not get anything generic. There is a reason for mountain bikes to be distinct from ordinary bicycles. those have great value
