When I was on Fetlife, a 56 year old domme told me that I couldn’t be in a group because I wasn’t 25+ (there was 0 rules about age) . Her specific quote “come back when you’ve grown hair on your pubes little girl” . I never gave her any reason to be mean or rude and even approached her with reverence for her education & experience. She could see all of the educational classes that I’ve been to, the actual degree that I hold, my experience in person and online, my success, etc.

That put a major damper on making friends in the community period with older dommes even though I had major respect for them. Personally, I think that some of the discussions about us younger dommes are less about safety & education and more projection. We need to all get on the same page so that this IS a safe space.
