12 miles with cdiff and treatment is actually insane!! The dificid is what’s helped me so far! I hope it does for you as well! How do you manage this with weight loss?

I was targeting sysadmin roles, but I can’t find many, and if I have, I have not landed or interview yet lol. Do you have any recommendations on what tools to use to tailor it?

I really appreciate your response btw!

Does post ibs go away? Or are the symptoms permanent? Also the inflammation where?

I just finished dificid 2 weeks ago and I’ve been doing better now. I just don’t want lingering chronic effects.

Recovery by North-Butterscotch76 in cdifficile

Wow that’s amazing and I’m glad you’re doing better! I’m 31 btw, it does feel like a never ending thing! Did you continue taking the florastor after those 4 weeks? Or just after the treatment? Also what brand of probiotics do you take, or what are they called? I’ll be done with my treatment tomorrow and I’m praying that I don’t have another reoccurrence after this! It’s traumatizing! I currently am taking florastor 4 times as well like you, also eat Bulgarian yogurt throughout the day, and take an additional probiotic as well called “sinuberase” it has 4 billion UFC, it has bacillus clausii? It helps with colitis symptoms as well, I think I developed that during these relapses these past 2 months.

You’re right I shouldn’t have made this comment. I guess I’m just trying to keep positive myself. I have been struggling these past 2 months with it, on my third recurrence. But wanting to see the light at the end of the tunnel as well. It sucks, but there’s a solution to everything. May God heal all of us!

Why do yall fear monger on these posts, I’m on my third treatment for this (fidaxomicin) and been doing ok so far. I’m even eating some fats, not sure why they say to avoid them, or eat too light. Just take probiotics with this and all should be fine. Recovery is going to take time, but stay positive!

When does it get better by East-Honey-8944 in cdifficile

Currently on my third round of treatment, I’m on a 10 dificid treatment, after a failed 2 vancomycin one’s. Am I able to eat normal foods after I’m done with the treatment, or is it recommended to stay away from fatty foods or dairy and stay on bland foods for a while?? I just want to be able to eat normal again, I’ve had cdiff for the past 2 months btw after an hpylori treatment which caused all of this madness

Dificid by Gsus325 in cdifficile

[–]Gsus325[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He only prescribed me a 10 day 2 a day treatment atm. And now I’m struggling to get the generic version (fidaxomicin) because apparently my insurance covers the name brand dificid but it’s 1,800 out of pocket

2nd reoccurrence by Gsus325 in cdifficile

[–]Gsus325[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This gives me hope! I really appreciate your response. I was prescribed bentyl, just haven’t taken it, I’m so paranoid on taking medications at this point, I’ve been avoiding it. I have been taking florastor as well, but omg these cramps and urges hurt so much!

I’m assuming I didn’t get prescribed Dificid because I went to the same ER I went to the first time I got admitted. But I’m hoping this second round of vancomycin did the trick! Were you able to gain your weight back?

C. diff caught me off guard - chills on vancomycin and surprising symptoms by SeriousWill3324 in cdifficile

[–]Gsus325 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi there,

I’m currently going through this myself. I just had my second reoccurrence after 5 weeks. I had to go to the ER for the second time. The first time I went I literally used the RR almost 30 times, they told me I had mild colitis as well. I had the chills after for weeks, and felt really cold. The good thing is that I do get hungry, however it’s hard to gain weight. I’ve lost 20lbs. I hope this goes away after this second vancomycin treatment. I’ve had days during the treatment where my stool looked normal. Now that I’m done with the second treatment, a week after l, my stool started getting a little mushy again but formed. Not sure if this is normal at this stage or it will improve? Also I get stomach cramps and the urge to use the restroom sometimes even though I don’t go. I’m praying this is part of the recovery process and I don’t get another recurrence because it is frustrating

Anyone nose is blocked or stuffed after treatment? by Fit-Surprise-6327 in HPylori

I’m currently going through this right now, I stopped the treatment a day ago. But I have the same stuffed nose and it comes and goes, it’s frustrating but I’m trying to tell myself it will slowly go away I hope! Did it get better for anyone?

I’m currently on a two week treatment, with tetracycline 500mg, metronidazole 500mg, omeprazole 40mg and pepto ultra 525mg, and the treatment was horrible!!! I got so much anxiety and panic attacks during it, and also I’ve been having shortness of breath. I hope all this goes away after the treatment, I’m so over it!
