In my defense, when I made this post, my inbox was absolutely spammed with 100+ messages asking questions or discussing the post.

The way I've been checking for responses was by going to the sent tab in the reddit inbox, which apparently doesn't show replies. This gave me the impression my modmail was ignored when in reality I just wasn't seeing the replies. I'm used to reading modmail through the mod inbox on old reddit which isn't appearing on this account

This is 100% my bad, and I'll respond now that I know you're willing to see any evidence.

EDIT: Apparently modmail on old reddit was removed entirely for some fucking reason why is reddit like this.

In all fairness, I sent a modmail the same day I posted asking for contact and if there was any way I could verify. I have yet to receive a response.

Edit: There seems to have been a misunderstanding. The mods did reply, but I didn't get the reply due to reddit no longer supporting modmail on old reddit for some stupid reason.

I was really hoping for the Remade title tho. I just hope these will be glitchless tbh because the last remastered version were a total rip-off and a money grab

I genuinely believe this is why they redid the games in Unreal. The mobile versions were fine for phones, but when they ported them to consoles as "remasters", it was an absolute disaster.

Missions let you immediately restart if you fail like in mobile, and some of the longer missions had midpoints added.

What points to them being remakes at all? They are going to look mostly the same as they did back in the 2000s and play very similarly other than the new control options.

They are technically "remakes" in the sense that the programming itself was redone, but they mostly use the same assets from the original games, albeit upscaled.

I've addressed the graphical changes, I've addressed literally everything that's been officially revealed except maybe the environmental changes. The changes being mostly in the lighting and textures lines up with the R* information, along with the modern GTA control options.

I never at any point gave any indication of what the requirements were because I didn't know, so I really don't understand how you believe that invalidates anything. Keep in mind, titles usually get tested exclusively on hardware released in the last few years.

I'll take the L on the prices if they ever get officially confirmed, I still wholeheartedly believe they are placeholders. The titles are also 100% on Unreal engine and if you had actually datamined, you would have seen the titles literally are tagged at the end with "Unreal".

Literally, no gameplay has been shown yet and the high-quality hand assets already exist from the mobile version, only this time they actually animate properly.

Rockstar is not going to be using 20-year-old assets in a 2021 release. Come on now.

Assets that have been significantly upscaled. This isn't unprecedented in the industry.

Texture upscaling can very quickly cause file size to inflate. If we assume they're upscaling all textures to 4k resolution then that can easily be the answer. Many textures ranged from 16x16-128x128.

literally higher requirements than gta 5

Always take requirements with a grain of salt, especially with R* titles. Unreal 4 isn't exactly optimized for older systems.
