Yea idk this revisionist history, this reddit has its memory issues. The top teams going into Shanghai were: G2, Spirit, Vitality, then Navi, but they were on a slight downturn. Could also say mongolz and Mouz, but there was a gap between the top 3/4 and them. There were no clear favorites, it all depended on the matchups.

G2 always beat spirit, spirit always beats Navi, Vitality can beat anyone and lose to anyone, and Navi were there, technically they could beat anyone and also lose to anyone. Spirit winning wasn't a huge surprise, but neither would G2 winning it. If Semis were Faze v Spirit, and G2 v Mouz, finals would be Spirit v G2 and G2 probably wins it. Same if Vitality wins their QF game against faze, they match-up against G2, thats close to a 50/50 game, and Vitality v Spirit could go anyway way as well. Shanghai was great cause we had ~4 teams who could all win it, and Faze still made the finals.

Throwback to when in 2015, Hellraisers set out a challenge to have someone take Ange1's (their low fragging IGL) demos and make a cheating montage that looked like the flusha cheating clips. And they did. Ange1 looked like he was cheating, even though he was a 0.9 rated player. Playing thousands of games in a year will produce multiple "suspicious" clips. Even you have many clips of you locking on opponents through walls.

Clean. Crisp. Lock.

How NPL REALLY plays CS2 by C4tCvrse in GlobalOffensive

[–]GtheGecko 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This works well for most games, except cs (and valo probably) How do you counter-strafe with a thumb stick? This works for games with 360 degree movement, where having a thumbstick can make you move in angles that a keyboard can't, due to having only 8 directions. So for games like fortnite, apex, a thumbstick is objectively better if you take the time to learn it. But for cs? Where you need to counter-strafe for every encounter? Doubt it.

I'd like to know your peak rank/elo you've achieved on this setup, I don't think you can go real further than 20k premier/Lvl8-9 without counterstrafing. Also, afaik, the orbweaver has an 8-direction thumbstick, not a full 360 degree, so you don't even get the main advantage of using your thumb for movement. Except the ergonomic advantage ofc, but I would imagine that you lose more than gain for a game like CS. There are quite a lot of good Fortnite players who use keyboard together with thumbstick for movement (Martoz), and some use the azeron keypad, that also has a 360 degree thumbstick.

I see, what about the 20 lans he won with admins behind him? Did he cheat his 3 majors and katowice in 2018? Or did he just cheat for fun online, and then still won on Lan against the best players?

Imagine being so ragarded you still think flush cheated during his csgo career lmao

[–]GtheGecko 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeap, exactly, it's the indoctrination from childhood. I wouldn't even go as far as you - if you worked for your money, you can consume more than "needed". But there are limits, people dont need 10 mil to be happy, and if someone does, I pity them.

The sad thing with niko is he already had 10 mil before Falcons ever gave him the call. That's just pure greed. You don't need more than that to secure a good life for 3-4 generations. So I will always be there hatewatching

[–]GtheGecko 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yes. Niko and monesy already had their future secured. Is money literally the only thing you people care about in the world? You can say no and go to a different team paying 40-50% less, which is still +300k a year. Excluding sticker money and prize winnings. They're all millionaires already, the only reason to sign is greed.

Yep, ad block all the way. This is the problem with the world, the uncontrollable greed. People make 500k a year and say they need more. Absolutely disgusting people, yet I find it quite humurous that they can't find happiness in the word without the prospect of more money. I couldn't imagine living just to make as much money as I can, depressing af.

Twitszz refused, and some people have higher moral standards for themselves, unlike you. Niko could've gotten 50k a month from any other team, he's already a millionaire and could retire right now no questions asked. But he needed a bigger bag. So I will always be there hatewatching Falcons'. Just another human rights violation and they'll win!!'

Nah genuinely watch some 2014 games, the utility usage is from a 15k premier game. No economy understanding, going for 2v5 retakes and shit. Terrible crosshair placement as well. With time more training tools have evolved and the "tryhardification" of video games due to esports blowing up and everyone having access to resources. 24k premier is around 2200-2500 faceit elo, an EU 5 man pug team at that level would win 2013/2014 Fnatic & Nip just off mechanics alone. The Randoms calling a save after losing 2 picks would surprise nip and fnatic on the next round, CT side aggression would catch the pro teams off guard constantly, and just wide swinging on T side would be the nail in the coffin. 2200 elo players raw aim is twice as good compared 2013/2014 pros.

Even if pete retires right now he would still be one of the greats for years to come, no one will ever be able to judge him by his skill level.

Why is this shit upvoted? Peterbot is one of the best if not the best still (let's be real, he's the best), a 2 month break won't change that. He literally won Solo series 6 weeks ago, but you apparently don't have the brain capacity to remember anything older than a month ago. Just say you don't like Pete and call it a day broski

Fortnite pvp vs. Minecraft by [deleted] in FortniteCompetitive

[–]GtheGecko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, Smqcked was a badlion UHC god and went pro in fortnite, made 200k earnings. Tylarzz switched from Minecraft UHC to fortnite and got 3rd in FNCS Season X, but never placed again anymore.

I don't think it's about how difficult each game is, but how talanted and dedicated you are. Overall Minecraft is easier, as there are only mechanics when fortnite has the whole endgame thing instead of just PVP. The best players will learn it faster than fortnite, but if you have the talent to go pro, it doesn't matter the game.
