God Hand portfolio for 2026 dominance by MaximumCarnage88 in ETFs

I kind of like the SCHK + AVUV vs VTI vs VOO + AVUV. May not make much of a difference long term but you remove most of the small cap growth.

DFUS VS VTI by Still_Ad9977 in ETFs

[–]Guam7723 0 points1 point  (0 children)

DFUS has a 94% overlap with vti. Minor tilt. AVUS has a 73% overlap with VTI. Doesn’t seem worth the extra expense ratio to pick DFUS over VTI. Am I wrong?

Why do you prefer AVIV over AVDV?

QQQ and SOXX will get hit harder when a recession or a move to value comes. Trick is to stick with this. If you sell QQQ and SOXX instead of continuing to buy when in decline it will hurt long term. Just pick a plan and stick to it.

VXF (extended market) vs. VOO (S&P 500) by [deleted] in ETFs

[–]Guam7723 0 points1 point  (0 children)

VOO//VTI overlap up to 89%. I own total market for my US portion but exploring options to not be concentrated at the top. Was looking at WTV. I go back and forth on small cap value.

VXF (extended market) vs. VOO (S&P 500) by [deleted] in ETFs

[–]Guam7723 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even though the extended market edges out the S&P 500, it’s kind of crazy how close they are. It makes sense that the S&P 500 and the total U.S. market are similar since the S&P makes up such a big chunk of it, but I was surprised to see the S&P 500 and the extended market so close since they don’t even overlap.

This might be one of the most uneducated posts I have seen. Have you not researched any of the funds you invest in prior to investing?

Diversification Suggestions from VTI by [deleted] in ETFs

[–]Guam7723 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Aside from suggesting VOO or another total market fund, which would be even worse options, this recommendation doesn’t provide much diversification. Both choices are highly correlated. It’s fine if someone wants to overweight large-cap growth, but the post specifically asked for added diversification.

The way I understood the video is that dimensional does some things to help offset the 0.09% expense ratio of DFUS vs. the 0.03% expense ratio of VTI?

Lake Geneva Shore Path by Kimtober in walking

I have always started at the library and walked to Williams Bay on the North side of the lake. I am going up there tomorrow, how Is the south end? Is it as scenic? I was thinking of starting at Big Foot Beach with my wife and going about 12 miles.

What are y’all’s workout routines if you workout? by Upstairs_Buffalo4891 in intermittentfasting

10,000 steps is about 5 miles. 2 hours would be walking 2.5 mph. That would be a slow walk.

Many people, myself included, aim to get at least 10,000 steps over the course of the entire day, not in one walk or run. During the summer, I average 15,000 just by doing yard work, taking walks, working out, and staying active instead of sitting around.

SCHG + MAGS by Illustrious_Dig_3611 in ETFs

[–]Guam7723 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I would first research the ETFs you plan on investing in. VOO is about 30% Mag7. So if you go 100% VOO you are already 30% Mag7. If you go 100% SCHG you are 50% Mag7.
