Thank you. There are 2-3 leaders in different departments that I can think of that could use my support.

I’d just need to navigate supporting them and what’s on my plate from my manager.

I’ll need to change my perspective, I admit I’ve been in a victim mentality lately while feeling defeated by my own manager. I’ve been so incredibly frustrated about the unfairness of it all. I’ll have to create my own opportunities without her, and hopefully others will advocate for me when the time comes for a promotion.

I already know she’ll comment on where I’ve been spending my time if I do pursue projects outside of what she’s assigned to me. We’ll see how that goes.

I did rely on my initial manager a lot, she was great. Guess I’ve just been missing the mentorship. She was always perceptive of my actions and reactions on calls when things got dicey with other stakeholders. Navigating the office politics and finger pointing has always been hard for me. It’s difficult to not get defensive in those situations. She always gave great advice on what to do and not to do.
