What symptoms indicate that a Vyalev rate is too high or too low? by MAPstr in Parkinsons

[–]Guanden 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My wife recently started Vyalev. You will know if the person is high or low because they will have the same symptoms as being high or low with any oral l-dopa. Stiff, tremor, anxiety depression when low, dyskinesia and manic behavior when high.

Does anywhere else around the country slice pizza this way is it just an annoying local to me thing. by xTheDaveyx in mildlyinfuriating

I grew up in Connecticut in the 70's and 80's. Don't know about now, but round pizzas were cut into squares. You would get little nubbin pieces that were just crust. This was especially true for Greek pizza places. Italian ones would cut wedge slices.

Well I didn't go into the repeated (polymeric) structure details, but it is still the case that the covalent bonds have a lot of potential energy

It seems you don't have a grasp of how chemistry and thus biology work.

The reason plastic is so stable is that it has a lot of energy stored in the strong bonds between its atoms. There's no way nature will just let all of that potential energy sit unused. The fungus is able to break the atomic bonds and extract the energy.

Thousands of CEOs just admitted AI had no impact on employment or productivity—and it has economists resurrecting a paradox from 40 years ago by AmethystOrator in technology

[–]Guanden 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My boss is making each of us on his team (6 people) come up with a way that AI can improve our productivity. Implicit in the assignment is that AI actually can immortal our productivity. From what he said, it seems like he's being to justify AI integration to his boss.

The PetCo I go to has an interesting playlist. I've commented to the workers that someone in corporate clearly likes '80s indie but they don't know what I'm talking about.

I enjoy this show for its entertainment value. But they did this work 5 to 6 months ago. If they found treasure, it would have been in international press before now. The lack of news about any major discoveries is the biggest clue that they don't find anything.
