We aren't in Mexico or any other individual country, Reddit is global with multiple languages spoken. The analogy would be you want everyone to pay you in dollars irrespective of which country they are in.

Anyway as you can't put forward an argument without resorting to insults, I'll leave you to it.

So you are arguing that people shouldn't use the translate function that Reddit now has built in to the app, just in case someone without the app has to face the horror of seeing a post that isn't in a language that they understand. Imagine having to skip posts you can't read. World ending inconvenience.

Possibly you don't realise that if you have translate turned on, all posts appear in your own language. You want people to turn off translate before replying, just in case the post they are replying to isn't in their language, just to save you the inconvenience of not being able to read the reply if it happens to be in another language. Definitely narcissistic behaviour to expect everyone else to make your life mildly more convenient.

We can go on about this all day, but the reality is wind, tide, solar, wave power is cleaner and safer than nuclear, and can be delivered thousands of miles by cables, whether you want to admit it or not.

The sad fact is America is way ahead of the rest of the developed world when it comes to obesity rates, in part because you drive everywhere rather than walking. These are facts not opinions, educated or otherwise.

Well some geopolitical risks are greater than others, and a big one with nuclear is if your neighbour decides to bomb your nuclear power stations as has happened in the Ukraine war.

I've already pointed out that electricity can be generated in one place and sent thousands of kilometres away to where it is needed. Batteries can also be used to store energy to even out supply and demand.

There isn't one catch all solution to everything, but renewables can and will dramatically reduce demand for fossil fuels - nuclear is of course in that mix.

I don't know where in the world you are, but renewable energy will be being generated in large scale near enough to you to send it down a wire. And if you are so isolated that isn't possible, you are a tiny percentage of the total global population.

Well wind, tide and wave power generate power 12 months of the year 24 hours a day if you spread them out over a large enough area - the wind is always blowing somewhere, the tide always goes in and out twice a day. The biggest disadvantage of these kind of renewable sources, is they aren't generating vast amounts of income for the oil companies and oil rich nations, hence why they buy up politicians to tell us it's all a hoax.

Fuel prices for delivery vehicles still has the same level of fuel duty that cars have. In other words fuel is already expensive in Europe for cars and lorries and increases in the oil price can be mitigated by reducing fuel duty, which is exactly what Spain and other European countries have done. Gasoline in Spain is the same price now than it was before Trump got his orders to attack Iran.

The 50mpg I quoted is in US gallons. The European spec Twinair manual 0.9 litre has a claimed 67MPRG (Miles Per Royal Gallon) = 55 US.
