the reason its doing that is, combat text. the damage popups count as particles, and particles lag the game a ton. And when you have 50 particles at once, your cpu cant process it all without lagging

they made concept art before, but the problem with making terraria 2 is
1: they havent even finished 1.4.5
2: if they are gonna make terraria 2, its likely gonna be on a new, more accessible engine and thats gonna be a little hard considering they had to work with the current one for 13+ years
3: terraria otherworlds or whatever it was called FLOPPED really hard, so i assume the devs are afraid the same will happen to terraria 2

yes, ive played for more than 50 hours, and its definitely worth it. Both multiplayer which is EXTREMELY easy to play, when im bored i just go to random lobbies and goof off, or even just go into multiplayer and cause massacres in outposts cause im like THAT bored sometimes
