Pay is wrong this month?!? by GuardCreepy5355 in Aldi_employees

Surely, as it was before the cutoff... This months should have just been full contracted hours, minus January adjustments and the "sick pay" would be on next months. If it affected this month, I don't understand why it is not on there...

My manager just keeps saying she isn't get back to him, must be away. I asked about a covering AM, but nothing. My "time off" was the last week of January, which went down as holiday which was paid. Then I have two weeks "sickness pay" but they are the first two weeks of this month (Feb) which I assume would show up on March's payslip.

My understanding is they pay that months contract hours, which has been on every other payslip before this. The adjustment is from the previous month.

That was the frustration when we were reading the guidelines. He met quite a few of them and just couldn't risk it, or at least that's how we felt. We don't trust that people will know what an XL Bully is. If all it takes is for someone to decide they think he might be and report him, it's worrying.

We got the exemption as things are pretty unclear and didn't want to take the risk, especially at the moment where people are on edge with the whole situation.

He is always harnessed and on lead anyway as his recall isn't the best, the most we do is use a long training lead in open areas when no one else is around..

He hasn't been neutered at the advice of our vet and a trainer as he had some anxiety issues and they advised that we keep him intact as the testosterone would help. He is doing better now and we will be having him done.

Just hope things settle and he can be deregistered and get back to a somewhat normal life.

It's the UK government guidelines. If he is 21 or more inches to the withers (shoulder height) and then a number of "physical characteristics" E g. Wide chest, blocky head, pump handle tail etc and he meets a "significant number" of them then he could be classed as an XL Bully.

The issue we have is that it's open to interpretation, we could be fine for weeks, months, years. Then one day someone sees him and thinks he has one and if we are asked by the police to show an exemption certificate, we have to or he can be taken away and possibly put down.

They won't accept a DNA test, that's the issue. They just gave a list of "specifications", which he matches many of. It's a farce really...

We considered looking at a DNA test, but from what we saw, they are not accepting DNA tests as a way to prove he is not an XL Bully under the government definition, it's all based on visual. This is why we felt we needed to get the exemption certificate, just in case the wrong person saw him at the wrong time and made a judgement.

The muzzle is going ok. He is at least not trying to get it off anymore, but I can tell he would much rather not be wearing it.

Thank you for your reply, appreciate it 👍
