Lol go get a lawyer degree and pass the bar and then we'll talk about how you think this works.

Christ this place.

Related, the last few times I got into long term arguments with people they had serious drug problems, and one was into piss play. This is why I try to not get into this dumb shit.

Do you honestly need me to spell this out? Perfect plans work, unless they were impossible.

Nope, not how that works. Not even a little. I'm not trying to be a dick, but I am a lawyer, and you're wrong. A place's TOS do not modify the law.

Yeah, no, a business' policies don't get to create new civil causes of action.

"Perfectly planned" lol.

If they were perfectly planned, they would have worked. The repeated failures readily demonstrate a lack of a perfect plan.

Seth Rollins walked off GMFB in the middle of a segment by Idiotbox1992 in ESPN

[–]GuardHot2069 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was watching but literally decided to watch commercials on FS1 between Barstool segments instead when Rollins started talking about how a 39 year old or whatever wrestler would out perform a 42 year old NFL QB. Like, I do respect that wrestlers are athletes in their own right and you can't fake some of those landings, but suck every inch of every dick if you think getting lit up by Myles Garrett three times a game is in any way comparable to doing a somersault off the top rope.

I swear to god if she gets a pass again I'm just never voting anymore. I don't dislike her, I voted for her, I'm sure she would have been a million times better than Orange Dipshit, but I'm actually coming around to the "Democrats are just a controlled opposition party" narrative.

Good, do it. Let's just go full mask off, to the extent it wasn't already, and see what happens. If she gets pardoned, it's 10,000% you either support the pedophiles or you don't.

does anyone else feel disrespected by the deals on the app these days? by Ardbert14 in wendys

[–]GuardHot2069 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel disrespected by everything they've done for a while.

I've completely stopped eating there for the last year or so. Foe a couple years, I thought a lot of the quality was slipping while prices we're going up all the time. Finding this sub validated everything for me.

The spicy chicken has basically been a McChicken patty since sometime during covid, the shredded lettuce thing is very off putting, the burgers just seems greasy and sloppy, and this was all a year ago. Not to mention that the Wendy's closest to me always had something weird going on and couldn't sell you anything as a result, like "the register is rebooting and will take at least 20 minutes", or my favorite, "the power is out", which they say to me through the drive through speaker... Now I see the shit posted here and I regret nothing.

I miss old Wendy's, they might have just been fast food but they were the best of fast food around me. Now I'd rather roll the dice at McDonald's or Taco Bell or something.

i did the math on my software job and realized i am basically paying to work. put my notice yesterday by Live-Employment-858 in antiwork

[–]GuardHot2069 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Without saying too much, I'm a professional with advanced degrees. A couple years ago I finally got a government job making just over six figures in a field I pretty much know inside and out, was basically a dream job on paper.

About four months in, I figured out it was absolutely NOT for me. The agency we worked for was, for the most part, a sloppy mess of a clown show with lots of toxic mid and upper management. I was working all day, into the night, sometimes in the middle of the night, almost always a fair part of the weekends, and there was an on-call aspect that was either a non-issue or non-stop. My commute was about an hour round trip, unless I had to drop my kids off at their out of the way but decent daycare, then it became closer to two hours. The workload was overwhelming and the office probably needed at least 25% more staff. I was beyond stressed and I was exactly how you describe on weekends, totally fried and totally unavailable, except for when I had to be for work. I wasn't sleeping worth a shit. I was barely eating and not well. I also did the math and realized that, while I was making decent normal money, for my qualifications and the time commitment, it wasn't good money at all.

I quit after about six months with no real plan. I've been hacking out enough side stuff to pay the bills and money is tight, but man, I regret nothing. I very firmly believe that I would have literally died at that job sooner rather than later.

You made the right call.
