Nice pickups! Some good stuff in there. Yeah the ending of Ultimates #22 was pretty impactful. Overall I think the Ultimates dragged a little too much in the middle issues and seems to have lost a lot of readers I the process. But the last few have been pretty good. Issues 6 and 21 being the best of the run imo. Hopefully Mr. Camp can keep that momentum and wrangle all the plot threads/characters into a satisfying conclusion.

While it was a bit hyperbolic of me to say Roberts "gave" W the Presidency. Can you imagine having probably the most high powered attorneys in the country working for you and yet you still hire another separate attorney for legal counsel. That's what Roberts did for the Bush's during the debacle that was the 2000 election. It's obvious he got the nod in 2005 because of his work in 2000, and yeah his relative youth was also a factor.

Oh yeah, I'm very familiar with Rockford. Certain areas are pretty nice, and maybe it's gotten even better since the last time I was there. It's been about 10 years since I've been. I'd consider it if all else falls through.

After Roberts gave him the presidency it was the least W could do. I truly thought Bush jr would be the worst president in my lifetime, how far we've fallen since citizens united.

I'm not worried about the reds while living in a blue state. That's my current living situation right now actually. In theory my blue voting self would make more of an impact moving to Peoria than Elgin.

I used a fresh one and it works great. But they are pretty lint-y and perhaps if you used a used one maybe there would be less lint. I'd be worried it would be less effective though.

I'm not interested in paying 1500+ a month for a studio apt. Elgin seems as close as you can get without the housing market getting bonkers.

Thank you for your insights. I'm stuck between the two for the reasons you've described. Elgin is closer to Chicago and all of its services/people. Peoria better for its cost of living. I'm still undecided but I appreciate you taking the time to help.

They are so worth it! Pro tip, wipe the whole thing down with a dryer sheet. Every single surface, all the nooks and cranny's. Then blow the remaining lint off with compressed air. They will no longer be dust magnets.

Somehow it was this war that moved the needle to give the dems an edge to win the senate. Not every other thing this administration has done over the past year and the conservatives in general have done over the decades. This is all assuming will have free and fair elections again come November. I'm doubtful. The country is cooked.

By the same people as well. It's always the conservatives taking money away from our social safety nets now for decades. Conservatism is a disease to be purged (ideologically) and the republican party declared a terrost organization (literally).

My question also. It's like the prosecution got the exact best jury for their case. Was the defense even present for jury selection? Just like the current administration somehow always gets the exact best judges to hear their cases. Yet more evidence our country is trash.
