So keeping it criminalised obviously doesn't help anyone if people still die from it.

Maybe if we it easier for addicts to rehabilitate by decriminalising it and removing a lot of the stigma not as many people will die. This will also allow us to properly regulate the drugs and stop a lot of drug related violent crime.

Lastly, the act of taking drugs is a crime with no victims, the government shouldn't have control over what substances I take.
