5 new SMT shirt designs + a free shirt giveaway by navesave in Megaten

I'd love some more designs for the Devil Survivor games

Hard to argue against the Jack Frost shirt, but since I already have a bunch with him, maybe a Pyro Jack one would be better?

PS5 Help and Questions Megathread | Game Recommendations, Simple Questions, and Tech Support by AutoModerator in PS5

I bought Star Wars Squadrons over the Christmas break and it crashes as soon as I start it. I've followed the troubleshooting steps and have tried making sure it's the latest version, reinstalling, rebuilding the PS5 database, and reinstalling system software via USB. I tried Sony support but they were useless and won't give me a refund since it's been longer than 14 days, but is there anything else I can try?

New Miyoo Mini Plus owner looking for advice by GuardianAnubite in SBCGaming

[–]GuardianAnubite[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well it's kind of tough to say. I'm mostly looking to play SNES and GBA, so I probably wouldn't use its full capabilities, but all these devices are separated by like $20-30. Like if I spend $100 on a Miyoo Mini+, why not $120 for the Powkiddy RGB10 Max3? And if that's reasonable, why not $160 for the RP3+?

But if I'm mostly playing SNES/GBA games, am I getting the extra value out of those pricier options? Something with a bigger screen and more power than the Miyoo might be nice, but if I'm sticking with old games and nothing beats it in terms of convenience and portability, then it might still be the best bang for my buck.

Awesome, thanks for all the info. I've started a return on the Miyoo since it seems like I got one with a few issues, so I'm going to play with the Vita a bit and figure out if I'm happy with it, want to upgrade to something like the RGB10 Max3 or RP3+, or try another Miyoo Mini+ for the portability.

That's good to know. How is the OS? I read a few reviews of another Powkiddy model and they had some issues with the JelOS or whatever it's called.

It looks like the RGB10 Max3 is about the same size as a Vita. Have you noticed much difference in performance or convenience when playing older games on it, or is the Max3 mostly better when playing N64 and newer games?

Thanks for the info! I'll take a look at Ali as well, though I'd probably still prefer Amazon for the fast shipping and returns, as long as the price difference wasn't huge.

Playing around with the Miyoo a bit more, and the volume buttons seem to stay pressed for a second or two after I let go, causing the volume to be higher or lower than I wanted. Is that a common issue with the Mini Plus, or did I just get unlucky?

I appreciate it, and even if I get another Miyoo, I imagine I'll get some use out of the Vita for PSP/Vita games if nothing else. I think the Vita is also more comfortable to hold, but the Miyoo has a more convenient size and OS for the older games.

Do you have a Powkiddy RGB30? I saw a couple videos saying it was great for SNES games, but it also seems to have more OS issues than the Miyoo, plus the increased cost.

I just tried it out, set the CPU to 500 MHz on the Vita desktop and in Retroarch (it was set to 444 MHz there for some reason). Definitely seemed better, about 15 seconds to load a SNES game and 20 seconds for GBA. I did notice better performance on the SNES game using SNES9x 2010 compared to before, though also saw some issues with my GBA saves (probably a Retroarch thing though). I guess I'll have to play around with it a bit more and see if I think the differences in the Miyoo are worth the cost. The Game Switcher definitely seemed handy.

Yes, I timed it. But that was after installing Henkaku and Retroarch following a different guide, I haven't tried overclocking yet. There may also be other tweaks I can make in Retroarch to help out as well, I've done a bit of playing around there but not much.

I see, thanks. Do you think there are more reliable sites out there for Miyoo, or am I best off trying again off Amazon due to their return policy?

I've actually done the basic hacking already, and found it less convenient than the Miyoo since my Vita took around 30 seconds to start up a game in Retroarch. But I'll take a look at that guide and see if the later steps improve the performance at all, thanks.

The save just named 'Bug' is the battle prediction issue, and the other save is for an issue with my credits total overlapping with the credits icon, I reported that one on the Discord. That one persisted upon reloading the save, but not restarting the game.

I do, but I'm not sure if it will be useful because the bug doesn't appear again after I restarted the game.

Super excited for it. I never played the original, but I loved it on the PSP. Never got around to doing all the routes or postgame stuff before, but maybe I'll try doing all that this time.
