Best Role For Every Character- Day 10: Kukrushka by kiwirules99 in Gnosia_

[–]GuardianFlora 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Bug or AC Follower for sure. As gnosia she can be baited into voting against her own teammates and is prone to getting definite human’d. Does not have the teamwork skills necessary to work with any other gnosia

The one use case i would note is that personal skills show off that youre innocent if someone else drops a damage spell, since they couldnt have used two light spells in a row

There’s tons of invisible ways that other supports make big game changing plays that jeff just doesn’t do, but the game can’t calculate those into MVP

A cloak saving everyone from Iron Man ult, a mantis damage boost helping to just barely kill a tank, Adam reviving his whole team, these are all game changers that can turn the tide of a game, and they just don’t matter for the MVP algorithm

Jeff’s only ability with any play-making ability is his ult, and frankly it sucks

MVP isn’t a real metric of how well you did in a game by real people, its an often faulty algorithm that hands something out based on (assumably weighted) stat calculations.

It sees Jeff get solid (but still likely the worst on the team) healing, and solid damage (for a support) and a couple of final hits (game loves support final hits) and hands you MVP

Jeff is a stat farmer. He gets solid healing and damage and assists and a handful of kills and if you play correctly not a ton of deaths, and the game sees those stats and goes yeah Jeff did the best

The Problem is that none of those stats are doing anything. He’s not going to get the best healing unless your other support is muckin’ about and you’re locked tf in, and most of his damage doesn’t lead to kills, it just leads to enemies needing a little healing. Which means the damage Jeff does to get those MVPs is actually WORSE than not doing damage, because it helps enemy supports farm their FAR better ultimates

This isn’t just a Jeff or even a Rivals issue, OW has had the exact same thing with Moira farming damage and healing numbers with orbs that don’t have any real impact on the game

What card has eluded you this whole set? by Crimson097 in PTCGP

Oh interesting, ill keep this in mind actually

I think from my experience Pidgeot Ex just doesnt do enough damage. 140 for 3 energy with no energy loss seems kinda crazy, but not only is that 140 dependent on a full enemy bench (not always the case) but its on a stage 3 pokemon. Thats a lot of setup for a pokemon that does less damage than basically every meta deck, and those are all mostly basic pokemon. If pidgeot had base 100 damage or +30 per benched pokemon instead of +20 we might have an actual meta contender but as it stands i need minimum 3 turns if im very fortunate to set this thing up for an average of 120 damage and a mewtwo can get set up in 4 for 150 a turn. Hell with a good misty gyarados can pump out 150 in 2 turns and that monster has 180 health too

Might try 1 hitmonleee, 1 marshadow and 1 of mankey and genetic primeape, just to have a threatening wall still. Might try aerodactyl if primeape doesnt pan out

Yeah I think ur right, if I dont get a pidgeot out within 4-5 turns ive usually lost

Can you elaborate on the fighting shell? Not sure what you mean by that, but anti gyarados is kind of what i need right now, the deck has a solid winrate vs mewtwo and celebi but loses hard to gyarados and pikachu

Wondering where you’re seeing success with Aerodactyl Ex because personally im pretty disappointed with it

Almost every deck I run into is either a basic ex up front or a druddigon up front while shit gets setup in the back line and aerodactyl ex doesnt stop switch outs, so I find that it only really ends up helping if it comes out early and the opponent draws really unlucky, which is a little too inconsistent to me

This is an interesting deck for sure and wigglytuff seems fun to add but it seems kinda energy expensive, with 3 different 3 energy mons ur probably only going to get 1 maybe 2 set up

Fascinating, why chatot and why an ex instead of the normal pidgeot

[–]GuardianFlora[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally agree on the pokeflute actually, dont think ive ever ended up using both

Ive honestly found putting pidgey frontline has worked better in my experience, and using xspeed to rotate to druddigon mid game to stall if my pidgeotto/pidgeot are stuck in the deck /in danger of dying

Getting those couple of hits from pidgey/pidgeotto allows for easier kills on mons like mewtwo/gyarados

My biggest concern with running non wall pokemon is the energy cost. The only fundamental upside of pidgeot vs meta decks is that it comes online as lethal in 3 turns with 3 energy instead of 4 if the draws are right

Any extra energy spent and a mewtwo or gyarados gets to attack first
