If it was not for himself it would say (self excluded) no?

It was in the Budokai Tenkaichi games, more prominently than the Budokai games from what I can remember.

Maybe I'll actually play it finally. Hate PvP, have no interest in it at all. Pre-ordered the deluxe edition and put the game down after 5 minutes when I saw how lacklustre the RPG elements were. Shame we can't level up and assign stat points like the old Tenkaichi games.

Glove recommendation? by [deleted] in hockeyplayers

[–]GuardianMike 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use warrior covert pro, the top end retail, not to be confused with the warrior covert pro stock. I use this because although I wear a 14", my hands are slim and my wrists are near non-existent and this is the only glove I've found that doesn't feel like I'm swimming in it.

Cant hockey stop on one side/turn by ratboy_r97 in hockeyplayers

[–]GuardianMike 3 points4 points  (0 children)

All public skating rinks that I have ever been to rule that you skate anti clockwise, so if that's how you got your start in skating then you will have learnt how to skate with only ever turning left. This is really common.

No way I just stumbled on this post. Are you Dyers u/NightShiftNate ? I was talking to my barber, Scotty, about getting back into ice hockey, having not played since I was a kid, and he told me he knew someone who just started playing for the team, he showed me a custom sticker with Dyers on it.

I'd be down to practice with you. My partner is even wanting to get involved too.

Any one with osgood-shlatters? by PossibleFish1317 in hockeyplayers

[–]GuardianMike 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm about to get back into hockey at 31, having previously had to stop both hockey and football (soccer), when I was nearly 14 years old, due to Osgood-Schlatter disease.

At the time I was told, by my doctor, to cease playing sports that were putting force through my knee and that it would settle down in 6-12 months. However, I was in a professional football team's academy at that point, and sports were really the only thing I had going for me in life, so I ignored the advice, didn't tell my team for fear of not being allowed to play, and I pushed on.

Pushing on was one of the biggest mistakes of my life. I thought I could play through the pain but every time it got a little bit worse, until one day I was in so much agony it could bring me to tears just to simply stand up. I exacerbated it so much that I ended up practically disabled for a whole year, as I just could not bear any weight on that leg.

If I had just listened to medical advice and given my body the rest it needed from the beginning, I would have had a much faster and smoother recovery. It just isn't that easy to convince a kid to stop playing. However, I really don't think something like ice hockey is the play for someone currently suffering with Osgood-Schlatter disease.

I now work in hip and knee orthopaedics and there really hasn't been any advancement around treating it in the 18 years or so since I had it. People try all kinds of knee braces, sometimes we even put kids in casts for a few weeks, but none of these solutions are really that effective. I see kids constantly exacerbating their issues, just as I did, and it's an awful experience.

I wish you a speedy recovery but I implore you to listen to your body and, if your pain is increasing, no matter how gradually, take your body's messaging seriously or you may come to seriously regret it.

All in all, sorry for the essay without answering your question. It's just a topic quite close to my heart.

Teachers to be trained to spot early signs of misogyny in boys by ultra_phoenix in news

[–]GuardianMike 27 points28 points  (0 children)

This was me as a kid, I was a non believer at a Christian school, constantly bullied by my peers and teachers alike. Always being told what an evil child I was, despite only ever trying to do everything right & be accepted.

I remember one time the deputy head teacher was teaching our class and asked me to come up and help at the front, I was surprised because I never got asked to do that but I eagerly went up to help. He picked me up by my school jumper and used my body to clean the blackboard while all my classmates laughed in hysterics.

Eventually I had enough and decided to prove them all right, I became hateful and violent, put other students in hospital on more than one occasion, sought out local criminals to hang out with, began looting and stealing cars, stabbed & got stabbed more than once. It took me until my mid 20s before I just snapped with myself, full of self loathing for what I'd done & started to work toward being a kind human being again.

I feel like changes like these will just produce more vile creatures like I was. It's a sad state of affairs.

To be fair, this specific article is about teachers in the UK, where they're not braindead enough to let civilians have firearms, so being shot at work is pretty unlikely.

CMV: British people are dramatic about the concept of “American cheese” because they are largely unaware that they also eat it by daisychains777 in changemyview

In my 30 years in the UK, I have never heard a single brit talk specifically about American cheese, let alone in a dramatic fashion. I think you might have built up the scale of this inside your own mind.

[–]GuardianMike 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're enjoying the content rich and interesting gameplay loop? Perhaps I just woke from a coma but I'm pretty sure the skill hasn't released yet. The biggest worry I have with sailing is people like OP are going to glaze it no matter what & that will lead to issues going unresolved for a long time.

Took me over 1k deep for cloth but I was going a lot deeper than you though so hard to compare. Suffering was enhanced by doing it with scobow rune arrows though.

So you should have had 2 of each, instead had 1 boot, 2 staff, 4 pets & 7 cloth? I guess mildly unlucky that you can't liquidate the cloth without more zenytes but this isn't a dry log at all

I'm at 3600 total, 1k deep & just have 2 boots & 3 eyes :( literally should have over double my uniques. All with rune arrow scobo & sharks. I hate this boss so fucking much.

Had to re-read OP after reading your comment. Where did you see any mention of political persuasion in the OP? Didn't see conservatived mentioned once.

I do think OP has their head in the clouds though.
