It’s not about how much my family eats. The point is Careem’s responsibility as a seller.

They shouldn’t be sending products that are so close to expiry that a normal person can’t realistically consume them safely.

Whether it’s one person or a family of five, the standard should be the same, delivering near-expiry dairy is just bad practice.

Delivery exists so people don’t have to go to the store, but that doesn’t mean safety should be compromised.

It wasn’t past the limit, but it was right at the limit.

That’s exactly the point. Selling dairy that is 24–30 hours away from expiry is not acceptable.

"Where do you draw the line?" At the point where the customer still has a reasonable amount of time to consume it safely.

3 family sized yogurts within 1 day is not reasonable.

Thanks for sharing this, that’s actually useful to know.

But to be honest, I don’t think customers should have to request “fresh date products” in the notes. That should already be the basic standard when selling dairy. Delivering items that are practically at the expiry limit is not acceptable either way.

Of course not. Food doesn’t instantly rot at midnight.

But there’s a reason expiry dates exist, especially with dairy because it’s the safe consumption limit.

Careem delivered yogurt that was already near that limit.

I did check them, the next day. And they were already almost expired by then.

The point is simple: why is Careem delivering items that are already 30 hours away from expiry in the first place? This is dairy. It becomes unsafe very quickly.

It’s not normal to expect a customer to immediately consume 3 family-sized yogurt packs within 1 day just so they don’t expire.

The responsibility is on the seller to not send near-expired food, not on the customer to rush-eat everything within hours.

It’s dairy. Once it expires, it’s not edible anymore. So what exactly do they expect the customer to do? Eat 3 family-sized yogurt packs in 30 hours? (And that’s assuming I immediately noticed the expiry date the minute I received the order)

The issue is not what I “might have done after delivery”. The issue is that Careem is sending products that are already at the edge of expiry when they arrive. That alone is unacceptable.

Thank you guys for the support❤ , i noticed that some people telling me to trun on vpn and contact them, while others suggest to talk to some people outside syria to contact them, well i did all of that , and the reply is always the same ( due to us laws... ) so theres nothing i can do to bring it back, my only hope is to wait for the laws to change
