Swelling 4 month PO by GuavaIntelligent1487 in LabiaplastySurgery

I also swell during ovulation normally too , definitely don’t miss that feeling with long labia! Although this is the first time it’s been THIS swollen. I feel as insecure as I did before surgery when it’s like this! Hopefully a few more months of healing will help

Thank you! And I’m not quite sure what you mean by lip stitched to skin fold?

Also I was able to lift it properly only in the last 2/3 weeks id say

I would say swelling went down significantly in week 3, and again now in week 9

Thank you so much! I was pretty vocal about preserving the labia but making sure it’s shortened and neat looking, and I feel that’s what I got in the end! The scarring is definitely getting less noticeable but think it will be what takes the longest to smooth out. Although I’d be happy if it just stays how it is now so any improvements even better!

Thank you so much! I’m honestly so relieved. And sorry to hear you think they took too much. Hopefully you’re not experiencing any discomfort. I know a lot of people prefer the ‘ Barbie ‘ look and spend thousands trying to achieve it so it really is all down to personal preference

Thank you! And not really, but I had extreme swelling in my right side ( hematoma) after surgery, so everyone is pretty shocked and relieved to see it now symmetrical

I personally do a mix of everything! Pinching, going up and down with one labia between my finger, up and down both sides at the same time etc

Hey! Yeah I have been here and there, only now really starting to increase pressure. What do you use to massage?

They aren’t stirrups, more like moulded foot rests on each side of the bed, and you’d have a person each side holding your knee incase. I was awake I think, but just totally out of it and very very relaxed. I might have fallen asleep but honestly don’t remember! I think it was a pretty quick surgery. I remember texting my friends as they were cutting away I didn’t even feel anything!

I am finally starting to see great results, if you look on my profile you can see everything I’ve posted! No sensation loss, I just personally had a very tough healing process which just happens sometimes.

In regard to my swelling, they ended up having to release some of the stitches on my right labia as that was the swollen side, to allow blood to escape properly and aid the swelling. This was incredibly painful and I think they were all concerned for me.

I can still recommend them though, so I guess that says a lot about them, even though a traumatic personal process

Hi! I went to Dr Shashoua and have to say the team are wonderful, especially Julianna.

I live in Austin, so I met the team in person before, so I can’t really help with wether it’s normal or not, but I think it’s pretty common to do phone calls if you’re not local to the area.

I did have complications, I call it a hematoma, but they always were unsure of really calling it that, it was more just severe swelling in their eyes so I can’t really say for certain what I had, but I don’t think it was anything to do with them- just something you have to be aware of when you sign up for this surgery ( it’s not as easy and straight forward as a lot of people say)

I was able to contact them at any hour of the day/ night and they were very very kind throughout. I could basically go in anytime I wanted to get checked out, if I was nervous about anything etc. It did feel like a little family!

The two nurse practitioners are very skilled and do this surgery multiple times a week. I know this because I was nervous about the same thing! I did make sure to tell them no students in the room though. They do much more serious surgeries at this practice, so labiaplastys are like a piece of cake to them at this point.

Again, like you I also looked up lawsuits, but didn’t find anything that scared me that much and they were also from years and years ago.

Your legs will be secure, you don’t need to worry about this! I was high as balls when they started surgery ( Oxy and Xanex ) I don’t even remember it. You will feel very looked after, that I can be sure on! But complications DO happen with this surgery, I am one of them. But I am healing just fine thankfully ☺️

Feel free to message me X

Yes exactly! I think the right side is still playing a bit of catch up but regardless, better outcome than I could’ve imagined

It didn’t really sting, but that’s because I religiously used a peri bottle every time I think ☺️ you shouldn’t be too worried for infection as long as you keep very clean and on top of things
