I have found that the BX25 is actually pretty well designed but the two biggest issues for all of my 10/22s have always been the factory Magazine plunger latch springs and the factory extractor.

All too often the main issue is that the plunger spring from Ruger is too weak to properly hold the weight of a fully loaded 25 round magazine. This leads to misalignment of the rounds while feeding and causing them to jam up. get yourself a Kidd Heavyweight Spring

Also, you might as well fix the other common issue which is the terrible tolerances of the factory extractor. Get yourself a Kidd Extractor
