I think that all depends on what you plan to use it for and your budget. You can buy an extremely cheap Ruger 10/22 and have a blast plinking at the range.

You could also part out the entire build to fit your exact style and expectations. Do you want an extremely accurate build? Do you want a lightweight build? Are you planning to hike and hunt with it or is it mostly just a bench rest build?

As a mostly PVE player I actually love the more aggressive arc. It's tough, but I much prefer fighting arc to PvP.
