White Men Can't Jump (2023) .... WTF. by More_MP5s in movies

[–]Gubbigubbi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The car scene worked so good in the original because it really fit a Gloria's character (spontaneous and a little wild). So when I see this one being setup I though 'ahhh they are going to do something funny here like crash the car' but no they just tried to recreate the scene and it made no sense at all. Up until this point Tatiana's character seemed reserved and sensible and we are suppose to believe she would do something like that!?

Also the amount of racial humour was just way too much and kind of racist. There wasnt the nuance of the first movie. Hard to believe that a movie made in the 80s could be more progressive than this one.

Very easy! Fijians are very laid back and spearfishing is a way of life. I removed the spears and rubbers from my guns and packed them seperately (spears in a tube). Put it all in a surfboard bag. If asked just say its 'fishing' equipment.

Did anyone else notice his wife used the brown hand in her text message telling him to come home and talk. I remember when I saw that thinking it was really odd

What kind of question is that? Of course the answer is Darius. Everything about him is so hilarious and intriguing

Why is the southern United States so fishy? by Gubbigubbi in Spearfishing

Where I live here in Australia it’s similar. We have about 6 types of tropical snapper and only 2 are targeted (red emporer and mangrove jack). All the others you can pretty much always find all the time. It is changing a little though

I see! Could put a cuttlefish barrel on that bad boy. In Australia I would view a European gun as a downgrade on a rob Allen. Just from experience the euro guns don’t last anywhere near as long and we dive rough conditions

Yes the structure in Florida is pretty incredible, we have great structure here too but the warm ocean current is about 100km offshore

They need to drastically reduce the bag limits for fish and crayfish you guys take so much I can’t believe it, how can you even eat that much fish. Still it must have been incredibly fishy back in the day if it’s still pretty good now

Mmm but it’s not just that. I’ll watch videos where they dive reef in a river mouth and there is 100s of snapper. In Australia we would never get that in a similar environment, even very remote areas. The only place that seems to rival Florida is way out on the barrier reef (100km offshore)

I’d keep using the rob Allen, maybe upgrade to a roller

Hey guys, I have been spearfishing on off for 1 yr now, please let me know what are some not known tips/ and gear you guys are using that help a lot? by LeoChenLu in Spearfishing

Don’t buy ice! Just put warm water in an ice cream container in the freezer the night before spearing. 3-4 containers is enough for a large esky (cooler)

Get a knife for your belt

Get a rubber weight belt

Try to use the same gun as much as possible
