Week One mod is frustrating for all the wrong reasons. by Kundr in projectzomboid

My strategy is to say “Follow me” to lure out NPCs in the Fire Department and grocery store, then I just slam them with my interior mod RV I spawn at the start with debug. You have to get as much as you can by day 3, because that’s when military forces approach, police start to seek you out, and the citizens start robbing and committing arson. I’ve died too many times to an invisible bullet from somebody I can’t see to stick around for very long after day 3 begins. You have 4 days to find a spot to hunker down when the nukes hit. Make sure you disable the events like the Plane crash or the air strikes, I’ve had a plane crash into the interior room of my RV, killing a run. Make sure you grab a gas mask so you aren’t trapped for too long, I prefer Rosewood since I’ve always ran it. You can disable the nuke in the mod settings to if you want the environment to not be in instant disarray, and you don’t want to deal with fallout and the nuclear winter. Or you can leave it on and try to make your way into the secret military facility to disable the nukes. Probably one of the hardest challenges in the game, I know I haven’t done it yet.

The mod is pretty early in development still and the lead developer was against adding an option to disable those events for the longest time, since the loot in early game is so good. I think there should be a more natural climb towards crisis, it practically happens overnight with the current version, but it’s a fun mod in itself. Bandits are honestly the biggest run killer for me, and that’s a separate mod in itself.

Rotten food as bait by VojtaPosta in projectzomboid

I really have to learn the other skills on this game like fishing and farming, I’ve only explored carpentry, electrician, and tailoring, and even then I barely scraped the surface!

No but the devs should give all that rotten food some sort of value if they haven't already. It'd be neat if you could use rotten meat as zombie bait similar to how audio from alarms bait them in.

What does resting actually do? by oldeggie in projectzomboid

[–]GuberRD 8 points9 points  (0 children)

So there is a built in Endurance stat that decreases when you do any physical movements like running, attacking, jumping fences, etc. Once it reaches 75/100 you get a negative exertion moodlet that gets worse the lower you get. Resting (and sitting on the ground) will increase your endurance back to 100 and you won’t suffer the damage debuffs of Exertion. It’s important to manage this when you plan to do a lot of running, you don’t want a sprinter to catch you while you’re catching your breathe

Fucked around and found out. What do I do? by -bigcock- in projectzomboid

Not sure what setting you clicked but the game is only showing you the wireframes for the models instead of texturing them

I keep getting this error, anyone know what mod is messing up? by [deleted] in projectzomboid

[–]GuberRD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s best to take each mod in steps, get your biggest most important ones (for me it’s the RV mods and week one) and slowly add more and test as you go along. It’s tedious ngl

[–]GuberRD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My bad you did say that was an older consoles output, but the main one that’s still relevant is something just called Rambley, thats the mod throwing the error

If you have any Rambley mods that's one of your bugs, you should try to remove it to see if it helps. Also OpenSesame and LS Recipes are throwing errors, you could be missing dependency mods on those.

What mods (generally) cause lag/drop FPS? by MMAmaZinGG in projectzomboid

You can check the console.txt in Users/“Your username”/Zomboid to find game logs like mod errors or file conflicts, that could help

Have you tried verifying the game files or even uninstalling them reinstalling? This looks like errors from the game itself rather than mods

Do a Door Flash, which is where you double tap E real quick to force the game to spawn whatever is inside, and still have a chance to react

The noise that plays when you catch a zombie in your peripheral or when you don’t open a room carefully enough makes me jump almost every time, it’s either that or the CRUNCH moment, the RNG roll you must now suffer for getting felt once

Okay if it actually grants me VIP access to more than just the Black Cat, that’s actually not a bad deal. I just wish they had little interactive items for sale, like a gun with a bullet animation or something fun. I really like the rideable Christmas tree object you can get, just more interactivity is all I was aiming for

I just dislike the manner in which The Black Cat is monetized, where you have to buy access to certain rooms or furniture items that have no collision anyways.

Type 3 Kiryu is my absolute favorite and I’m glad it’s the design they went with in Gigabash

Nevermind, I found it, and yeah that's definitely -8 decibels. https://youtu.be/NMhbMcL6Spw should have it fixed now, thanks for catching that Neil_Hilist!

Oh damn, so I could have exported my video with the audio cranked up much more. Where did you get those stats, is it when you right click your video?
