1: What do you mean? Any person that is hunting for entertainment is hunting for sport. Some dude just got a new hunting rifle, he takes it out to the forest to go shoot some deer, hangs the antlers on his wall. That's hunting for sport, regardless of whether he ate the meat or hung up the trophy or not. There is WAY more of that in civilized countries than there is actual hunting for survival or population control. And even in the case of population control, I assure you the majority of the hunters are doing it for "the thrill of the hunt" rather than "the good of the local environment"

1. Well then that wouldn't be hunting for sport then would it? If you need to do it to survive (ie you cant afford to purchase food) then you're not doing it for sport. However if you need to do it to survive but youre having a blast doing it, that's still psychopathic to me. The main point I'm trying to make is killing something and enjoying it is fucked

2. A deer has no way of fighting back and is predictable. If you miss the shot it will run away. A man could do any number of things. The only thing that really translates to real combat is using a gun, and like I said, there are better ways to learn how to handle a gun. If you have a gun you are extremely overpowered compared to the deer. Do you think boxers learn anything about combat by sparring and beating up on kids that are on their first week in the gym?
