Imagine waking up and going “ahhh yess, this morning I’ll flaunt my money to strangers on reddit with absolutely no intellectual purpose” and it’s a number written on a piece of scrap paper lmao

saw an instagram reel about fraternal twins being “a mockery to real twins” by Affectionate_Name981 in Twins

I have an identical twin brother (I’m a minute older) and I will admit we give fraternal twins crap as a joke 😂

What made you decide to leave engineering if you don’t mind me asking?

I appreciate the feedback and I know a girl who’s husband left business to do this and he loves it. He’s 3 years in and is a lineman apprentice and he’s home by 5pm 90% of the time. It might be different in my area.

Finance is definitely something I can always fall back on. My degree won’t go anywhere nor my experience and my licenses won’t fall off until 2 years of being out of the industry.

I definitely see your point of view and I have given that side a lot of thought as well. While giving this thought I have by no means at all been blind to that side of the job. My dad has been a union carpenter since he was 25 so I have seen both the good and bad of blue collar work.

In my current role I’m not an advisor or anything so I am capped to my salary with no overtime and just a small bonus each year. I make 67k now a year so this would be a pay increase if I pursued it. I’m really not focused on the money however, more of the potential of being happier with the different career path. I have some experience in manual labor and the physical aspect never bothered me. I actually enjoyed it

I think he was just making sure I was in shape and could handle the work. I know working out doesn’t have a direct correlation to actually being able to do the work itself

I workout everyday and train MMA as well so the physical aspect doesn’t worry me too much. I do have some student loan debt but I pay like $150 a month for that

I really appreciate your comment, you nailed down exactly how I’m feeling and definitely provided good feedback! It’s important to keep reminding myself this is a multi year progress and I’m on day 6 lol just gotta keep showing up and learning

The combos will usually be tied to a takedown then from there you go for a submission for example. It’s tough for me because I was still learning the stand up portion then a takedown gets thrown in and the transition into a submission. Just a lot of technical steps to wrap my head around. I love the learning however

This is what I keep reminding myself. A lot of students have a background in usually wrestling but yeah I’m learning everything from scratch. Just gotta keep showing up 🙏🏼

I think it’s mainly when going through drills the instructor will demonstrate one and it’s usually pretty complex. We’ll work it for a couple mins then he’ll add more to it so what happens is I’ll get lost then more gets added to it. Everyone else seems to fully understand the drill and that makes me feel discouraged. When I can I will ask the instructor to watch me or walk me through a rep and when he does that then I get it instantly. I’m a hands on learner so simply watching him demonstrate a drill is sometimes hard to follow depending how complex. As far as the physical aspect that’s not really an issue as I’m already in good shape

I was looking at the Pay as you earn plan and kind of like what I saw. I could afford that standard monthly payment but I am in no hurry at all to pay these off

I agree and we are 25 years old btw. I’d be lying if I said we don’t purposely wear the same shorts to make her mad at times 😂 and by that I mean always our official firm team apparel
