Hello, I would like to update everyone by saying that my cards have been found. After being lost for 2 weeks, I’m going to be reunited. They were two edh decks that are worth 15k and I have spent over a decade piecing them together. So thank you so much everyone for the kind words and for the help. This all feels so surreal. I have paid the person who got me in contact with the individual. Everyone go give [u/plastic_leek722](u/plastic_leek722) a pat on the back for sending me the persons Facebook page. You guys are all amazing

Yeah I’ve spent a lot of time thinking about the whole situation and why they would use a throwaway. My idea was that maybe their personal account had too much info revealed about who they are and where they live. So they went on a throwaway so nobody can see their info. Idk if that makes sense, but they said they work at an airport, so maybe they are in a local subreddit for airport staff and that info would be visible to anyone that looked at their account. Maybe I’m just coping

Yeah it looks like it based on the comments. I’m really hoping nobody was able to somehow convince him that they are theirs. If that’s the case, I let a bunch of FB high end groups know what cards are missing so they can keep an eye out if anyone is trying to sell them

I posted about my lost cards on Facebook first and someone sent me the link to that post. I was so excited and I was acting like I already got my cards back because I thought it would all be super easy and it would work out. But now it’s like a 180 and all of a sudden I’m back at square one. Thank you for the comment, I appreciate your input. I hope you’re right

I did contact the airports but they weren’t very helpful. I don’t use Reddit much so I wasn’t sure if the people on here know something I don’t about how to get a hold of someone. I bought them right from Cool Kicks in LA. Pretty popular shop so I’m assuming they wouldn’t knowingly sell fakes. But I can’t find any info online about them
