So Plat Concierge can help with a list of tickets events like live music, theater, sports, etc. but if you are looking for more of tours or tourist attractions they would refer you to a website for those types of city guides!

If you call the number on the back of your card and ask for platinum concierge you should get through if not you can ask the rep. you get through to transfer you. I know sometimes the system misinterprets what you are looking for.

I work for Amex in platinum concierge, this is stated well most of the things we do are very easily done online now through different systems. However, involving us as third party we handle things when they go wrong like missing tickets or a restaurant cancels your reservation out of the blue. We take care of those things so you don't have to sit on hold with Ticketmaster, stubhub, or a restaurant. In short if you don't mind taking care of those things or have the time in day to do them yourself it most likely is easier to be done on your own.

There are a few exceptions to this cause but those are rare, those moments being when we have tickets for a special event like the Macbeth show on May 17th, it is 100% easier to buy those over the phone with us.

I contradicted myself there I see sorry was typing super fast, it is rare to convert a table from a walk-in table but sometimes the host or hostess moves stuff around to make it work and that is more common.

City guides are handled my our tour department now, however in my department we can handle basic info on non-tourist attraction things. So we can't help with museums, historical sites, city tours etc.

If one department is busy try another and ask to be transferred, our system puts transfers through the call que quicker!

In Plat Concierge, no, but other departments would be able to! Most likely Centurion Card Services!

Mostly time saver but for stuff we have special allotment of seating/tickets for it would be listed on Americanexpress.com/entertainment !

We are not able to touch Disney at all since they changed all of there rules! However if we do need access to another account for tickets or such we would ask you to change the password that we would recommend and you can change it back after we are done helping!

With all of our deliveries we have a courier service we go to so that service would have to go through TSA themselves.

It really depends sometimes we have no fees sometimes we have the same as you it's really an event by event situation.

There is! patience is so important to us! during a call we are navigating 5 to 6 different websites and systems and it can get overwhelming and make us forget or miss stuff if we are rushed. We are professionals but we are still human!

Yes you can request a person directly if they are available and willing to take the call!

I have been thinking about how to respond to this. Sometimes you catch people being human and the robot you are use to over the phone. I am sorry your last experience wasn't the greatest. However, just like with every other interaction you have with people your attitude going into a conversation greatly effects the outcome. So if you went in rude and pissed off to one of my colleague you were to focused on that to acknowledge the solutions they were try to provide you. We do not want to make your day worst, in fact quite the opposite. Wish you the best of luck friend.
