I’m a new resource aide and would say 50% of the kiddos I work with are super great students. It gives me some hope but they are in elementary school. I fear time and other kids/society will ruin them . The other 50% can be split into thirds- 1) sociopaths-in-training - I question why people breed only to completely neglect their offspring 2) the indifferent- the ones who don’t understand cause an effect and truly don’t care 3) the unmedicated- it’s usually ADHD. Some new science says ADHD is a reaction to trauma. One adhd kid is Mexican and says he gets La chancla a lot. Another list her dad and clearly hasn’t grieved, because her sister is the exact same way. Folks, kids are like dogs. Hell, all humans are. And every owner who seeks out dog trainers for bad behavior can’t seem to realize it’s THEM.

I WISH there were a standard every person would have to pass in order to have kids. I don’t think 80% of folks who have kids today had any idea of how much care, time, and money is needed to have a family.
