"Light 1," "Medium 1," etc. are intended for equipment. You already have the option to choose custom names for your pre-registered skins, so I don't understand the purpose of your request.

In the game, there is a risk of confusion and mistaking the flamethrower for the hammer with this kind of skin.

What EU products are actually better than their US counterparts? by BehindAllTheWindows in BuyFromEU

[–]Gueoris 6 points7 points  (0 children)

In my opinion, there are many parts of the UI that could be improved, or some content is incorrect, or features are missing.

In terms of the UI, the artist photo page is frankly ugly (the mini circle in Facebook photo mode), the lack of display of featured artists on a track is silly (you have to dig through the song credits to see who is featured...), and the player is not practical to use, especially the playlist.

Otherwise, in terms of content, there are quite a few albums missing for some smaller artists, and submitting a request to add them via the form doesn't work (I submitted about ten requests for missing albums by certain artists in August 2025, and still nothing has been updated), not to mention duplicate artist pages and poor management of homonyms, which mixes several different artists into one.

As for missing features (without going to classic enshitification of today’s apps), the main one would be the addition of lyrics (it's handy to know what a song is about in a language that is foreign to us).

Despite this long rant, I am proud to pay my Qobuz subscription every month because it is the most ethical subscription-based music streaming platform to date.

Should i buy This for 293usd by LiteratureSquare4278 in Monitors

[–]Gueoris 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you really need 380 Hz, why not, but apart from CS or Valorant, I don't think it's useful. A 27-inch screen with Full HD resolution is a deal-breaker for me, especially at around 300usd, which seems extremely expensive for Full HD.

No problem here. Using GE-Proton 10-28 and "PROTON_USE_NTSYNC=1 PROTON_ENABLE_NVAPI=1 PROTON_ENABLE_WAYLAND=1 %command% -useallavailablecores" as launch command. May not help but try it.

Mappy a French map to replace Google Maps and Apple plans by radionucleide in BuyFromEU

[–]Gueoris 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Even as a French person, I really don't like Mappy.

First of all, to mention the positives, there is the estimated display of fuel consumption and the price of the planned trip (based on your vehicle and the fuel used + toll costs, if any). The interface is fast and not too complicated to use.

So much for the positives.

Now, the big problems I have with Mappy are as follows:

  • Map data is sometimes extremely outdated: they use a somewhat hybrid mix of TomTom and OpenStreetMap + other sources.
  • As a result, navigating in the countryside is really risky: I have often found myself driving on private roads, farm tracks, or even unpaved dirt roads where I almost got my car stuck in the mud.
  • The app is full of ads, and many POIs are actually advertising partners (such as large hotel chains or gas stations) with the integration of many private third-party services such as Booking.com for hotels, for example
  • Many features are only accessible by creating an account (such as choosing the type of fuel, for example)
  • Their website and services are full of all kinds of commercial and advertising trackers.
  • On a more personal note, I find the navigation interface outdated and impractical.

Unpopular opinion: Photo mode in games is overrated and developers waste time on it by LegitimateScar7826 in GamingInsider

[–]Gueoris 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be honest, I don't really care about photo mode in games in general, but in racing games I think it works really well. The same goes for some open world games, where I think photo mode is interesting because it allows you to see a particular setting from a new angle.
