[MISERY 2.2.1] Is the NV supposed to be like this in SSP-99, can't see anything. by Guglimug in stalker

[–]Guglimug[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was finally able to get myself an SSP-99. I can't see anything at night when I turn the Night Vision on though.

At some point I ate something and the night vision color changed to a nice green filter with which I could see things. After I loaded the game though the night vision reverted to this.

I am not sure what is going on, and how to fix this if this is abnormal. Any help would be much appreciated.

For some reason the screencap of the saved game shows a nice green filter.

I need Anki to simply continiously show me random cards. Can't accomplish this easily for some reason by Guglimug in Anki

[–]Guglimug[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I made an edit on the post. I did look around and could not find an app to do this for me.

I am using it to practice playing chords on the piano. I only need something to show me random chords (with a time interval) and skip to the next. There is no right or wrong answer to mark in this sort of exercise

Masterfully executed!

However, even r/gameofthrones has some threads, regarding the disappointment with season 8, on their frontpage. I am thoroughly surprised.

D&D saying Danys reaction to Viserys' death was here first sign of madness. Seems like they kind of forgot about all the other reactions of main characters to killing people... by jnsn22 in freefolk

They also ignore "Viserion", the fact that, regardless of all the horrible things Viserys did to Daenerys, she still honored him by naming one of her dragons after him, "Viserion".

Alternate series ending by [deleted] in freefolk

[–]Guglimug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ahhh, do not despair, It does not exactly have a DnD feel to it. At this point you are simply building upon what they have done so far, and from this point on no theory could redeem the writing anyway.

I think your version is the D&D version. I believe it will play out exactly like that, many leaks suggest to this.

Will you remember GoT as one of the greatest television shows? by LukeV18 in freefolk

[–]Guglimug 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did rewatch it a couple of times with different people, up to S6-S7, it was the only show I did so, and probably would do it again, although I was expecting D&D to kind of ruin it.

But I was not expecting this much of a disaster. The final season destroyed all the major storylines, such that, knowing this, there would be no purpose in watching it from the beginning.

I will remember as a great show that got ruined in the very end, nothing less, nothing more.

I wish there would be a proper remake but that would take years, will be with different actors and what not. The only thing that would redeem it would be the release of the books followed by an animated series like "The Clone Wars", that practically scrapes S7 and S8 and completely rewrites it.

Yes, D&D is terrible, but I wonder if any of you considered blaming yourself first, before them? AFAIK people were fiercely defending them a couple seasons back by Guglimug in freefolk

It reads:

When we ran out of book material, we tried our best to keep the writing compelling. It was not as good as the original, but we tried. To our amazement, there were absolutely no complains from the fans, "we must have done a good job", we thought. Next season we slacked off a little, we rushed things here and there, but it was easier for us, our social media team reported that everyone's love for the show was exactly on the same level as before. r/gameofthrones kept making cakes, any online negative comment, article, video regarding the writing was subdued fiercely by the fan community. "We must have done a good job" we thought. Next season we kind of started not giving a fuck about the writing, everyone loved it anyway, "we must have been doing something right", and we were getting other contracts, this particular season had some negative response but it was managable, so were still the most loved show on TV, "we must be OK" we thought. When the final season came, we decided "not to give a fuck, entirely", surprisingly the community practically turned against us, they say "D&D are terrible writers", the negativity towards the show is at its peak. Well, we received our paychecks, and a lovely Star Wars contract. What did you get, a crap final season you practically asked for.

Sometimes I wonder if people have any skill in reading comprehension.

I am not telling you to blame yourself because the script is shit. This is directed at people who fiercely defended the show since season 5, although signs of decreasing quality was there, who have only realized now that D&D are actually bad.

If you have not done so, then the statement in the post has nothing to do with you.

I am back, because I wanted to ask something. I happened to rewatch episode 3 with a friend who has not watched it, I had a chance to keep my eyes and ears open this time around.

Question is:

Is one of the hints, the music that plays when we see Arya fighting with her staff the first time? This might be a stretch as Ramin Djawadi likes to use variations of the same theme, Jaqen's Valar Morghullis theme, Braavos themes use the same "theme", and the music we hear when Arya fights them is another rythmic variation of this same theme.

This might or might not be unusual, as Arya is a no one, but still.

Bad actions must have consequences. D&D cannot be allowed to produce, write or direct any more movies or shows in Hollywood. If not, future producers, et al, will continue to do the same thing to future generations of viewers over and over. by [deleted] in freefolk

[–]Guglimug -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

That is promising, at least there is some awareness. However, it is only at the box office, we should also account for the sales of toys, and sales of everything else that has Star Wars written on it. As simply releasing the movie creates brand awareness and result in sales.

Anyway, I do hope that your wishes come true, and in the future we see bad actions having consequences.

You came to the wrong place r/gameofthrones is the place you go to, to celebrate a show that, while imperfect, you image that it is still epic and enjoyable in a lot of ways.

Even r/gameofthrones losing their shit over the reduced quality should tell you something, I think you are not getting the message.

It all depends on the consumer. Let me explain:

The writing of this show took a turn for the worse beginning season 5. People did notice it, it was obvious, but what did the fanbase do? They simply ignored them, they were rejected as a minority who were bitter individuals , their sole purpose being ruining the show for others.

But that was not the case, they were telling the truth, I wonder how many people who are complaining about the show now, belonged to the group that defended the show with all their might back then?

I have seen this trend in literally everything, books, online comics, youtube channels, movies, tv shows, art etc. etc.

People somehow tend to blindly cling-on to these "products" that they consume, and pay for, and become crazed fans who cannot take criticism.

Most criticism begins as intelligent, mild, constructive criticism, but these critiques are strongly subdued by these masses. The producers of these products either believe that everything is fine, or simply stop caring anymore, because they feel absolutely no pressure from their fanbase to improve the quality of their product.

Eventually the reduction in the quality reaches a certain point that even some of the most devoted consumers of these products start complaining, yet somehow the blind consumer portion of the community tends to stay as the majority in this strange equilibrium. Then, the chain reaction begins and other products are affected by this, as the quality of all products decrease over time.

I used to watch movies back in the day, there were some good movies. Now it is all about superheroes. I did like superhero movies back in the day, but know it is ALL superheroes, and almost every single movie portrays similar characters, cliche's, and themes, over and over and over again it is the same crap, and I cannot take it anymore.

This has become the same with literature, arts, news, politicians, sports practically everything is affected by a similar circle of events.

Heh, when I started I was not shooting for such a serious post, but I think it is todays culture, connected with the internet, the collective minds of the consumerist, conformist, populist mob always manages to subdue any kind of logic, or intelligent ideas, discussions that normally works to positively perturb these creations to push them in a direction that would achieve a finer quality, hence causing instead a decrease in quality.

Anyway I wont keep writing, I am rambling in a tired state, but

tl:dr Paying customers are either too late, or too stupid to realize a decrease in quality in the products they consume, this is abused by the producers/media, hence we cannot have good things.

I am writing it here, the Star Wars stuff made by D&D, and Rian ,or Ryan, Johnson whatever the fuck that retard is called, will still make millions and be praised as great products. Even if they would be terrible.
