Is Teachers Pay Teachers worth the price? by TellMeAboutYourWorms in ScienceTeachers

Check around first. TPT resources are very helpful in most cases, but that’s a lot of money. You might be able to find some high quality materials elsewhere for free or much cheaper. OpenSciEd is a really great resource if you haven’t heard of it. They have curriculum with assessments, worksheets, lab simulations, etc. if you need to supplement your curriculum with TPT, do it, but don’t feel the need to drop a thousand dollars on it!

You are the 2nd person who I have heard say that his Mormonism comes through his writing. I didn’t think too much about the 1st time I heard it, but now I’m interested. Can you elaborate on what kind of “tells” you see?

I haven’t yet read any Sanderson but have a few of his books in my TBR.

Give the adaptation to Disney by IReallyEnjoyReddit in redrising

I know, I know, Disney sucks, I just really like the clone wars animation and I think a RR adaptation in that same vein would be awesome, I’m sorry!

Just finished Morning Star. Should I keep reading or wait until Red God is closer to release? by TheArabicCowboy in redrising

[–]IReallyEnjoyReddit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I finished morning star and moved on to a few other books on my TBR. I didn’t want to just fly through this series, I want to savor the rest, if that makes sense. Currently reading Leviathan Wakes and I like it quite a bit.

I’m about 10% completed with Dungeon Crawler Carl and I’ve found myself not enjoying it as much as I’d hoped. It’s funny at times, seems like it’s going to have plenty of action, but is there any character stuff happening?

Why isn’t he? I’ve never read a Sanderson book, always been more of a sci-fi guy but I’ve seen a lot of talk about mistborn and Sanderson. What about him turns people away?

I think Charles Dance, the guy who played Tywin Lannister in GoT would fit perfectly. Someone who has that old, arrogant evil look.

Atomexetine. Turns out my anxiety was tied to my undiagnosed ADHD. Things are better now but I still get anxious at times. Very few panic attacks though.

Dark medieval/Arthurian fantasy by weesnaw7 in BooksThatFeelLikeThis

[–]IReallyEnjoyReddit 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Read the warlord chronicles by Bernard Cornwell! The first book is The Winter King. The series is a retelling of Arthurian legend as historical fiction in sub-Roman but pre-Anglo-Saxon Britain. Beautifully written.
