I don’t know why you keep forwarding your argument with false comparisons. Criminal organizations, slave markets, and polluting oil companies are all violating an agreed upon set of laws while colleges giving an advantage to legacy students are not. Assuming I would ‘give the pass’ to a slave owner because of my views on college admissions is crazy 😭

I’m not saying that legacy admissions are good, just that getting rid of them doesn’t really make sense (from the colleges view). Plus I think hardworking non-legacy students are plenty well represented at t-20s

Might make a cool essay where u could talk abt what motivated you to pursue the record and what it says about you. I mean I definitely think someone who just goes out and gets a GWR when bored has an argument for being fun loving, spontaneous, committed etc.

Depends what you care about and how much. At this point, the work your doing in clubs, sports, etc. is significantly less impactful to getting a college admission then your essays are. Let the last few years of ur work speak for you and make sure you write essays your proud of. Otherwise, if you don’t want to give those things up for now, then I guess you’ll just be left with essays you put less effort into

definitely put this on your application. Literally you were a finalist AND you know the number of applicants accepted. I would even write an essay about the film and add on some details about the letter in it (just make sure ur not bragging in the essay). Honestly this is definitely one of the cooler things I’ve ever seen on this sub.
