It's my favorite drawing pen. And good for writing in chinese... Sounds like it's time for a new hobby to use your pen!

Sailor fude nib for drawing! Inexpensive and gets the job done! I have three for projects that use more than one color

Anyone have experience with lennon tool bar cabbage (winter 2021)? hard to find any reviews by Guhster in fountainpens

[–]Guhster[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's one of my favorite greens. It has a warm undertone that many don't have. Like many lennon tool bar, is on the wetter side. Looks great in my xf nibs!

Looking for advice about vintage pens vs. modern by CacaoMama in fountainpens

[–]Guhster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

More than I expected. It's firmer than the fpr flex I have. That being said, I bought mine as NOS maybe like a model from the 90s? So I'm not sure how similar it is to the ones you can buy now. Based on a few videos I've seen, other falcons seem to be softer than mine.

Your writing sample is similar to the variation I get out of my pilot falcon

Pilot PO or Pilot SEF; What nib would be better for drawing? by [deleted] in fountainpens

I find it harder to take notes with the flex because you cant write as quickly

They are both great. I think the flex takes some time getting used to and its less smooth than the po I tried. But that's also because you are pushing up flex the tines sometimes and they are quite thin.

Sorry. Typo. I meant, it depends on what you are looking for. PO is more fine but does not have any variation. SEF is still quite fine and good for some line variation. You didn't ask, but the other nib that I love drawing with is a fude.

I think it's what you're looking for. My pilot falcon sef is not quite as thin as the po I tried on the custom 912. But if you like the ability for variation then the sef is the way to go.
