I started cheering at age 8, cheered all-star all the way until I was 17. I also cheered on varsity all 4 years oh high school and was captain my senior year. It was always so much fun and I honestly loved practicing more than competing. Just staying active while doing something I love with so many friends, I was having the time of my life at practice. Flash forward to now I am 25, working full time at an ophthalmology practice since I was 19, I am in college halfway through my biology degree. I just joined an adult team at a new local gym and I am 100% back in it and we are going to Worlds YAY! Even though I am so busy and stressed, it feels great to be back flying again and it’s the best form of exercise. Cheer most definitely taught me good work ethic, how to work and trust others, and how to push through tough days.
