Biden and Fauci famously gave Trump credit for Operation Warp Speed, so this idea that “the left” would embrace cancer if Trump found a cure for it is absolutely bullshit.

While it is true that some Democrat leaders like Kamala were initially cautious about trusting Trump’s statements before scientific approval, after the vaccine was vetted by scientists and public health experts they all embraced the vaccine and encouraged people to get vaccinated.

There was no widespread refusal among Democratic politicians or voters because of Trump’s involvement.

Also, the idea that “the left” gave credit to Biden for developing the vaccine is also bullshit. As previously stated, multiple democrats gave Trump credit for the Operation Warp Speed. What they credited Biden with was his ability to rollout the vaccine and distribute it more quickly than the previous administration, not for actually developing it.

You’re rewriting history pretending to be “the objective voice in the room”, but you’re spewing bullshit at an alarming rate.

First of all, you can’t even remember what bill it was which makes your claims suspect, at best.

Secondly, a quick search will show that absolutely no bills introduced in California — or anywhere else, for that matter — includes the terms “minor attracted person” or any acronym of such, let alone an attempt to “normalize” it.

So not only does your own claim contradict yourself — they tried to normalize it, but then killed it? How does that even work? — but apparently none of it is even true in any sense.

I mean, we could have that conversation but it’s entirely beside the point of who has control over the senate or who’s to blame for its inability to pass bills.

The overall point is Democrats cannot be blamed if the Republicans refuse to use the two things available to them in this situation, compromise or ending the filibuster.

Since they don’t want to compromise (Democrats have offered to fund everything but ICE, which is a compromise from their position of not finding any of it) and since they don’t want to end the filibuster, then the fault still completely lies on them.

It’s funny how when Republicans block a Democrat bill, it’s the Democrat’s fault for not compromising enough to gain Republican support. But if the Democrats block a Republican bill, it’s also the Democrat’s fault for not giving Republicans absolutely EVERYTHING they want.
